Meliodas vs Aokiji

You can claim that when said Aokiji is merely around slightly more than 2.5x stronger than baseline. While Meliodas has two scaling chain that puts him at similar lvls of power in Base.

One where he is stronger than 1st form DK Zeldris who is far stronger than Afternoon Mael who can casually one shot Original Demon who is stronger than baseline. The other one is Meliodas being stronger than 1st form DK Zeldris who is far stronger than 4C Mael who is stronger than Prime Elizabeth who can simultaneously hold back two characters that could no sell and overpower a baseline character.

Show me where this wiki has ever accepted chain scaling as a legit means of becoming stronger than someone who's stronger than you are. This goes against the basics of calcs, math and logic. Chain scaling isn't exactly something you can quantify and numbers are numbers.

The way I understand those scaling chains is that a) True Magic Mel (whatever that is) is at best slightly above Kuzan. The only multiplier I see there is the one that comes from the 2x stronger than Post-Purgatory Demon Mark Mel. You put the True Magic Mel at the top, and that's the one that it's being used here per SBA and like I said, it seems to be comparable to Kuzan, slightl above at best; b) You seriously need to work a bit on those chains because the upper half of them it's exactly the same; c) If the scaling chain is that big, they wouldn't get yeeted in that many threads via AP as the ones I have seen.

Why would True Magic Meliodas only be slightly above Aokiji?

Post-Purgatory Base Meliodas is far above Prime Elizabeth who is roughly as strong as the combined power of two characters who can no sell attacks from baseline characters. That already makes him more than 2x baseline.

Than there's the Demon Mark which gives a multiplier that allows him to stomp people that are 2x as strong as his base. So Post-Purgatory Demon Mark Meliodas is already at the very least over 4x baseline.

Finally there's his True Magic Form which makes him on par with the gods who are also far stronger than his Demon Mark state? We don't know which form of the Gods the story was referring to so we are low balling and assuming it means 50% Demon King.

I don't recall Post-Purgatory Meliodas getting yeeted in many threats via AP. I only recall his previous keys and other characters who are far lower on the scaling chain getting yeeted in AP.

Also I thought this match starts off with Post-Purgatory Base Meliodas? Cause if it starts off with True Magic Meliodas than Aokiji would probably just get aoe nuked by hellblaze attacks that are above his pay grade.

While I do agree Mel is stronger the difference to even high end Low 6B+ to 2.5 Teratons isn't even 3x.

Also SBA says strongest version, so true magic Mel.

Well even an AP advantage of around 2x is already pretty big. And that's the AP advantage I'm assuming Meliodas has in his True Magic form. Since his Base form probably has comparable AP if not slightly lower AP to Aokiji with his Demon Mark being over double that and True Magic being far above his Demon Mark state.

2x AP advantage is notable but it's definitely not the big, even a good enough skill advantage can cover that and Aokiji has High Mid, so AoE nuking with a gap that small won't kill him.

I mean didn't Whitebeard pretty much incapacitate Akainu for a while with a AP advantage of around 3x if not even lower since he was weakened? So I guess it all comes down to if Aokiji can survive and outlast True Magic Meliodas since he definitely has the advantage in stamina.

The guy who is casually stronger then Meliodes? You forget that the feat Whitebeard pulled that we used for scaling was WhiteBeard literally holding himself back so that Ace wouldn't get killed.

Aokiji scales to 3x weaker then the Quake WB used, but WhiteBeard himself is far stronger then that compared to them when he's going all out.

Even then, the very fight you mention, has Akainu impaling WB. And WB nullifies Logia Intangibility entirely.

"A did this to B in verse so C can do it" is almost always a bad comparison.

I see well than guess I'll just leave the match to other people. I'll just sit back and enjoy the show. Since i only came here to fix the AP and give whatever example people needs.

Yeah I conceded with Mel being stronger anyway, but I don't think it matters that much.

Fair enough about the initial AP advantage. Kuzan can amp himself with Haki tho, and like Schnee said, the scaling is above that because Shirohige's feat wasn't going all-out.

Forcefield blocking nukes it's completely possible since those are around Kuzan's power. If Mel nukes the area the AoE will disperse the energy just like how we treat explosion feats when calcing them. He's not getting 4 Teratons of energy while 4km afar from Mel. Even gigatons of energy would be dubious. Mel'd need to nuke him from close range to get him taking more energy, and Kuzan can just predict the movement and freezes Mel solid, to break him in pieces to a point where his Regenerationn won't work.

Little note, overpowering 2 characters of the same strength at the same time shouldn't count as being 2x over them unless it's done after they fuse their powers.

I wouldn't compare Meliodas dealing with Merlin ice magic the same as Kuzan ice because Kuzan shown he can freeze someone to the bone like he did Robin and jozu and knowing how powerful jozu is, jozu was frozen throughout the entire war after that. I would say Kuzan would win high diff if Kuzan get the chance to touch meliodas with ice time

The tidal wave was his biggest feat. He was already weaker by the time he attacked the platform which included Ace. If anything Kuzan likley scales below 2.5.

I believe Kuzan freezing the Ocean was a more impressive feats than the Tsunami. But I don't really understand what you mean by he was weaker by the time he attack the platform? Who got weaker?

Bump

(I dont know if this is even worth bumping seeing how old this is, but I'd like to see the outcome of this battle)
