i havent played metaphor yet, is it canon to megaten or are people just waffling about some off hand reference ?

It's full of references and uses most of the same mechanics for the metaphysical stuff connected with the mind and archetypes, but nothing that goes out of its way 100% direct (I mean, technically there are some direct things, but it depends on how much someone considers something as a simple reference and not an actual connection).

I would wait for any direct interviews or comments about that, maybe when the guidebook gets released it could have something.

Unless Vincent had some good money to travel out to Japan to have a drink, no. Catherine takes place in the US. Oh, but there are a lot of Nocturne, DDS, and P3/4 tracks on the jukebox in Catherine, which were all replaced by only Persona songs in Full-body, a sin really.

Wait, I thought when
you summon the demons they are actually Megaten demons (in that they are monsters that are solidified with pure magla and embody concepts that can be used to fight, which would qualify as demons considering it matches the requirements on their physiology page). Did I miss something because Magla is just Magnetite and Magatushi mixed into one energy as an in universe way to incorporate Understanding which is a staple cosmological feature of Megaten into the worldbuilding in a unique way. Also aren't the synthesis skills pretty much confirmation that it at least exists within the same Verse considering the way archetypes are implied to function? I'm namely thinking of Persona Master/Royal Dancer with it's Masquerade Charge which is too on the nose to just be a reference. I can buy TMS being localized entirely within the FE Verse but Metaphor is Megaten just due to demons existing and Dragons essentially being demons but being the product of human fear being solidified into conceptual (previously Non-Physical if the Red Scale Apocalypse Dragon fight is anything to go by) organic WOMDs by the Elda. Also the fact that "Humans" can just use magic without being consciously aware of their surroundings due to becoming mindless beasts has to imply that Understanding is being used and would explain why "Humans" are so powerful operating like mad deities that roam the land and terrorize the people of Euchronia.

DO NOT READ THAT SPOILER UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME, JUST A WARNING. I'm on team Metaphor 1-A though even if it doesn't make the most sense at first glance

On one hand, the verse is so neglected that it's monumentally outdated and effectively doesn't exist, but on the other, I don't know what people expect when they try to single-handedly revise a relatively niche verse without trying to consult the supporters and then don't get any traction on their CRTs.

i think its also how large it is, theres tons of even nicher verses that get CRT's passed and generally have very active profiles.
SMT or Megaten is just really chunky and everything apparently effects everything else

I'd love for the lower scale feats to get some attention. I mean, it feels like there should be some. We have Tier 8 Pixie, & there's various feats lower than Tier 2.

Also, right now I can see 2 @Shadowbokunohero posts with different avatars in this thread, lol.

agreed, raidou also has a bunch of tier 7 feats apparently and even persona arena has too.
i think its one of those things where the lore scaling or whatever makes people or the community lazy.

It's not Raidou, but I think I remember there being some Japanese SMT Card Game feat that's supposedly Tier 7 or something, based around a Fusion Spell of something Fire & Earth, IIRC.

from what i remember this was used in the Raidou vs constantine G1 blog, but theres a jack frost calc for freezing the holy city that was around 33 kilotons
