I'm trying so hard to not touch any of the spoiler tags. The struggle is so hard.

Lol I literally just finished it waiting for the post credits scene rn definitely worth the watch but that'll have to wait we have to defend low 2-C strange sooo I'm going to have work cut out for me when I'm home

Unrelated to Shang Chi (& a lot of things really.) , I was reading the TV Tropes Recap page for What If episode 4, & noticed this:

  • I'm Mr. [Future Pop Culture Reference]: Accidental example where O'Bengh thinks Strange's name is Armani after hearing him describe his suit and calls him that for the rest of the episode.
I FINALLY GOT IT. When I first watched it, I wondered why he was calling Strange Armani, like it was some alias or weird name -A middle name?- Strange had in this universe. Like, what if this What If took place in a universe where the Sorcerer Supreme was named ARMANI Strange?
(Also, I also didn't realize that "O'Bengh" was how that name was spelled. From how I heard it, I thought it was spelled more like O'Bang or O-Bang, lol.)

Yes, I seriously forgot Armani was a clothing brand. (Or is it a material?)

Pardon me & that, please.

Shang-Chi was... pretty mid... I liked the message they went with but all that good cinematography did not live up to the trailer's hype tbh, and Shang-Chi never really actually did anything. If you ask me Wen-Wu was way cooler than Shang.

Honestly I can respect this differing opinion, I'm on the complete opposite when it comes to my opinions on the film I thought it lived up perfectly to what it was showing and Wen-Wu definitely was a badass through and through.
The only thing I'll say that trailers missed on is the fact that they tried to advertise the 10 rings as stronger than mainline avengers like Iron Man and Thor but that just wasn't the case here though maybe later yes he could potentially surpass tony if he unlocks more of its powers as the end credits suggest with them surging with new power when Shang-Chi gets them as per Wong's words

According to this Shang Chi should have Pain Manipulation for himself and Pressure Points combat as well as Chi Manipulation. Also resistance to poison manipulation

Should Wenwu have them as well? Also, wdyt about characters speed and the Rings's feats?
Yes since he trained Shang-Chi and his sister they should also at least be subsonic we know Wen-wu could block and dodge gunfire at close range even those from a shotgun at point blank range. It's also said on that scan as well that Shang-Chi has reflexes good enough to dodge gunfire as well

It's also going to be more impressive when calc'd since it looks like it was fired from this shotgun and was blocked at point blank

Don't know about Chi, they don't clearly mention or show it it but given the scan, it's ok I guess
I assume it's more of a passive type of deal since he has just been able to survive big blows and deliver them as well not like energy projection

Well it can apply to the profile for both Shang and Wenwu but it should be noted

The Rings don't go beyond tier 8 feats I guess. Their most impressive ones to me were the destruction of a large entrance at the beginning of the movie done by Wenwu during the intro (excellent intro btw) and destroying the Dweller at the end. At least High 8-C maybe?

Yeah those were the one's that stuck out to me as well and should definitely be at least high 8-C though I'm hoping with the big shockwaves and blast from Shang's impact at the end that we can get a 8-B feat calc'd from that

Gonna make a blog for a Wenwu profile until the official calc have been done I guess
Well probably have to wait a few weeks to actually have official clips of the scene's out so I think we can definitely get at least 8-C out right now and upgrade off calc's later

Honestly, all I would be missing to make his profile right now are his speed (wich is subsconic) and the Rings's output, everything else is ready. So yeah, I can still make the profile and we'll update it later.
Honestly yeah that sounds good just tossing in those place holders

He could honestly just have subsonic | at least subsonic with Rings

And Wall level | at least large Building level with Rings

It's also going to be more impressive when calc'd since it looks like it was fired from this shotgun and was blocked at point blank

Honestly depends on what you want to go with, it could also be at least supersonic for blocking shots from point blank that came from what looks to be this shotgun here

Would it be necessary to give him two keys though? The Rings are simply tools he uses in addition of his own strength, so putting him to "9-B physically, at least High 8-C with the Ten Rings" seems ok.

Going to stick with subsonic speed for now though I think

So, I'm wondering what Ultron has to do, from the state of the MCU was like during Age of Ultron, for him to collect all the stones.

Mind Stone: Already has this
Space Stone: Asgardian Vault
Power Stone: Nova Corps
Time Stone: New York Sanctum
Reality Stone: The Collector
Soul Stone: Vormir

He's gotta get through quite a lot... I have no idea how he will get the soul stone, that should be interesting...

Honestly that's true but they also give him a major boost in strength and from the looks speed too with how much distance he could cover with the rings vs without as well as the ability additions on top like we'd have to seperate somehow the abilities he gets via the rings and that he has in his base

Don't know if he will even get the Soul Stone though. Maybe the plot will be about preventing him from getting all the Stones since...you know, it would basically make him unstoppable

I originally intended to give him Statistics Amplification with the rings as an ability, I can simply put normal ratings and then write "higher with the Rings" for each one of them

I hope he fights Thanos and his army, that'd be dope.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Considering he has the stones in the official art I'd say he succeeded on obtaining them

Ah that's fair and if anything comes up later it can always be changed anyways so that's fine

Yikes, he has them all

Hey, something just crossed my mind. Ultron is an android and here, he is in Vision's body, wich is powered by the Mind Stone. Maybe this will allow him to not suffer any consequences from using the Stones, wich means he might be able to use all of them at the same time without any drawback. We could possibly get a definitive rating for using all the Stones at full power this time
