Following and they should be pretty comparable from what we've seen and there's no Kinetic energy absorption In his civil war suit either to give him an AP boost

Star-Lord has pretty much the same skills and has equipment and weaponry to shoot BP from a distance so he has the range advantage. On the other hand, BP should be physically stronger and faster due to eating Wakanda's "fruit". Peter was comparable because of his upbringing as a Celestial but from the episode, T'Challa just became stronger but still human so Panther might be able to dodge attacks, close the distance and then he can defeat Star-Lord due to his claws and superior strength (even to only a degree). I would also say BP has a higher degree of fighting skills since he spent all his years in Wakanda and was trained by warriors of the kind of Okoye

Does T’Challa have the electro blasts that Quill has? If not, he can pin BP for a bit but they won’t hold him forever and none of his stuff is getting through the suit. No electro blasts to bypass the suit = Star Lord gets negged by his cooler counterpart.
