They do have completely different abilities, and the weird stuff Mayuri takes into battle are sometimes more useful than the stuff Urahara carries around with him.

with prep mayuri can get the win through injection of hollow reishi into him due to it being poisonus to quincys and due to mayuri having his bs durability and his vast supply of bs healing items mayuri would hold the win it would be inconclusive without prep though
