Well, both come from dark and gritty series...

They fight on a random universo. Madoka can transform into her goddess form. Ness has the eight melodies, so his potential is unlocked.

medkas powers only work in her universe which she cannot leave nor bring people in it. Kind of like pre retcon beyonder.

Outside her relm she is like town level and hypersonic with some time hax.

But ness overlapping a universe is way stronger then her.

Earthbound isn't gritty, just the final boss (and some events of Mother 3). ANyway, from what I here, Madoko affected many universes, so I'll give it to her.

Medeka only effect her universe. No others. Also Earthbound was gritty just in subtle ways. As I see it. Ness takes this.

The witch thing was a one time thing. And the second scan relates to that aswell.

After her "Wish" She was doomed to a life in a univese which she cannot leave nor allow people in.

Alright, if you're not convinced that Madoka wins...

1. Madoka can only die through her Soul Gem, which is not necessarily something Ness could exploit.

2. Madoka has an eternity's worth of battle experience, because she literally has spent all of eternity fighting her own witch.

3. She can take people in and out of existence. (Sayaka being an example)

4. Madoka's arrows can transcend space, time, and alternate dimensions.

5. In Rebellion, Madoka was deemed to be even more powerful than the Incubators which granted her power in the first place.

6. She has seen everything.

7. At her most powerful, she's a concept. Attacking her would be just as effective as trying to destroy gravity.

Ness was able to attack Gigygas who is implied to be the concept of anger and hate (But this is specilation).

Also i thought htat Sayaka was confimred for just being taken to another dimesnhion?

Well, "in and out of existence" is probably an exaggeration, but yes. At the end of the series, she let Sayaka ascend, but come Rebellion Sayaka is back on Earth.

And Giygas being a concept is speculation. Remember, Giygas was defeated through hope... which just so happens to be Madoka's very concept.

Ness would literally have to destroy hope to defeat Madoka.
