What stops them from using alchemy to control wherever the ball is and transfer it somewhere?

Okie so since I was the one who put their team together and there's a lack of responses, I'll have to supply some arguments for what Log Horizon's team can do.

Okay, so to answer what they can do about FMA's alchemy, they do have some possible counters. One of Log Horizon's forwards, Akatskui, has a paralysis inducement skill that can paralyze the movements of enemies and as a human-assassin tracker, she has skills in stealth and being able to move into opponents blindspots extremely quickly, making her a big speedy offensive threat.

Another of Log Horizon's forwards, Soujiro, has a skill that grants him precognition to foresee the trajectories of attacks, so he could be argued to use it to see ahead of the Alchemists alchemy during the game. Soujiro also has some AoE abilities like vibration and air manipulation to make shockwaves and whirlwinds, which could disrupt the use of alchemy over a wider area, and on top of that, he can use power nullification to cancel out opponent attacks and halve damage. Going deeper, Soujiro has probability manipulation that he can use to avoid opponent attacks for a short time, which could arguably be used to avoid the use of alchemy and steal the ball away.

Another Log Horizon forward, Kanami, doesn't have much but she can use social influencing on everyone around her, which could likely be useful. At least in a coordinated effort with her teammates abilities.

And as for the final forward, Leonardo, he has the same paralysis and stealth abilities as Akatskui, so that can give 2 forwards that can paralyze opponents and be great offensive and speedy forwards.
