Jujutsu Kaisen Discussion Page #1

Toji~Maki>Ougi>Naobito>=Naoya

I'm very unsure if Naoya>Naobito
Since Naobit>All sorcerers besides gojo.
 
Does anyone have problem with me changing a few things on Toji's page? He has flight for some odd reason, and instinctive reaction? There's also the bf justification that needs to be removed since he didn't fight a bf user (ino's confirmed to not be one in anime) and we also don't use bf as a speed feat anymore. And his weakness isn't a weakness in a fight at all.
 
Maki and Naoya fight. Naoya says "power is speed and mass" which makes Kinetic energy ago for characters. Naoya goes top speed.

And the Yikes is that it directly says after him going top speed that he has "REACHED SUBSONIC SPEED".

Its a fan sub and it could be wrong. We can always check the raws anyways. Plus mutiple feats above subsonic so the statement would be disregarded anyways

It might be wrong since it's fan translations but again, piercing blood says everything about what speed Gege intends the characters to be at. One outlier Maki feat from long ago was used to upgrade everyone in the verse to High Hypersonic.

How is her catching a bullet an outlier?
 
So this statement is likely a mistranslation, but I will point out a few things prior to this arc to show why it isn't consistent with the general speed rating for the verse so far.

1 : Maki's bullet feat is her first speed feat in the Goodwill event (they would've obviously trained for the event, Ogi statement supports that so no anti feats in Goodwill event to contradict it)

2 : Choso's PB exceeds sos and yuji can react to it up close, there's a calc for this that is also hypersonic I believe, Naoya can blitz Choso who scales to this Yuji with his PS.

3 : Naobito Perception blitzes Maki who can react at a hhs level

4 : Inumaki uses sound to attack with his cursed speech

5 : Mahito blitzes Nanami from meters away with his speed amp, Nanami being at least superhuman in speed (obvious)

6 : Sorcerers train everyday so they couldn't possibly stay subsonic for almost an entire year considering them already being Subsonic or higher BOS.
 
It is not just to avoid stupid downgrades. A single calculation for the verse doesn't work. Currently the Jujutsu page sucks, many calculations are still needed

I think you should calc Mahito blitzing Nanami with his deer legs to support a higher speed rating for lower tier characters. whenever u free

It's not exactly an outlier, just when it is calced to High Hypersonic based on distance her hand moved which I think Gege didn't account for otherwise everyone and their mother who scales to early Maki would find piercing blood extremely slow.

This is the biggest problems with calcs. Sometimes the author is just drawing things to look cool but so far in-universe, supersonic speed would be considered extremely fast and high Hypersonic is the outlier from all the statements.

No, pb is stated to exceed the speed of sound, meaning it's speed is anywhere from transonic to anything, it doesn't hold the verse back, the translations got it wrong.
 
Surpasses it on launch and slows down, slows down by how much? how fast is it when it's launched? Don't know the tier but it doesn't negate maki or anyone scaling to her or it.

It was calced as Hypersonic+ reactions but I don’t think it was agreed upon due to Yuji timing and prepping before Choso fired
However How much Yuji moved relative to piecing blood to dodge can be calculated
In fact I could do it if anyone wants since Yuji still waited for it to get close to move

It'll take like another two months probably, I think tengens tier can wait honestly, the blackout since that's about ap should go into a ap thread with the low tiers stuff and the domain can too. Though really doubt people are gonna accept anything about domains like last time.

Well I think the speed portion is worth it’s own thread tbh
Since we are very lacking in speed calcs it would change the whole verse

Things like the Black out and whatever other AP calculations along with Domain size can be done in one thread concisely

Tengen can wait honestly

Btw more minor AP related thing
Your Hanami wood Calc should be using 0.1 seconds or 0.08 seconds for the High end rather than 0.2
Since Yuji and Todo are obviously far above peak humans
That should put that Calc higher into 7-C
Also Mahito has a 7-C Calc you did I think so those could re upgrade the verse into tier 7
