Is Dragon Ball Super Anime Canon ?

Please I need someone Help, I'm talking with a Downplayer who told me that DBS Anime is non canon so I came here to ask you if it is or not. But I remember Toriyama saying DBS Anime is canon and the official annoucement said DBS Manga is an adaptation of the Anime.

In my personal opinion, I think the manga should be used as main canon. While they're both canon, Toriyama is much more involved with the manga.


But maybe that's just because I just like the manga more XD I hate the Dragonball anime series. So much reused animation throughout the same episode, lots of staring at each other and making grunting noises. It's so stupid XD

Probelm is, that Akira himself stated that the anime was more canon, if we worked that way, then we wouldn't have planet level Saitama

I guess my final say is take whichever you want or even composite them if they are both canon, like I did with Ape Escape here. There's no wrong answer in a VS debate. Any battle could end with any outcome depending on the circumstances of the fight, but just be prepared to face the rage, salty people, and wankers if you choose a weaker version despite you completely being in the right when the version you choose is still canon.
