Invisible Dragon - The Return (Maybe)

First time reading it my impression was that it was an attack that he needed to evade too and going infront to save the other guy was the cause of his death.

They don't mention any actual damage, from what I can tell, Duike was also right next to them and wasn't hurt at all. ID even says that only Colbob could kill himself.

Yeah, I shouldn't point out grammar here but he does say he would evade it too.

Evade Colbob's self destruction, that he'd use if he had one. He didn't have any self-destruction techniques, so he just killed himself normally.

Colbob mentions not having that technique after ID says that though, or am I missing something?

ID mentions that his ability forces the opponent to self destruct, and also teleports him somewhere else, so he both kills the opponent and evades the blast.

Colbob says he doesn't have any self destruction technique, since he's so powerful and doesn't need one.

ID tells him to just commit suicide instead, since only he can kill himself. Pretty much confirming that it can still kill the enemy, just making them kill themselves normally instead of using some self-destruction skill.

ID assumed that Colbob had it, but he didn't, which ended up not mattering since it just seems to induce the suicide whether they blow themselves up or not.

The skill makes the user pierce and travel through the dimensions, it's an upgraded version of another skill that does the same thing, traveling through dimensions to escape a self destruction. The difference is that the upgrade forces the opponent to self destruct before evading, instead of waiting for the self destruction then evading

The "it" is clearly the self destruction.

Probably elaborated, since it's the only explanation for Colbob to have died.

Well Colbob dying without much explanation does suck but context wise the skill should be responsible I think now.

...See, here's my problem.

This discussion about the feats from this book looks just as stupid as the book itself, to me. "Colbob dying without much explanation" because this sort of shit wasn't supposed to be taken so ******* seriously to begin with.

I think that's my problem with this whole thing, with profiles like Two and a Half Men or How I Met Your Mother or whatever else. This isn't Joke Battles wiki. Why are we trying to index "feats" from a ******* sitcom? Why are we trying to index "feats" from something like this at all? At what point are we just adding profiles so we can use them in ******* meme threads?

I don't think we should even have a Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse profile (so long as the latter isn't directly related to KH), if you want my honest opinion. You're ******** in the face of the purpose of these works (being real generous in saying ID has a purpose, here) to be so sterile and clinical about what's clearly either played off for laughs (in the case of cartoon/sitcom characters), or the inane, vapid "adventures" of Babby's First Original Character Do Not Steal.

Coldsteel the Hedgehog is an instantly-recognizable name, associated with the "nothing personnel kid" meme. If he wasn't tied to the Sonic franchise as a Sonic OC, would we have a profile for Coldsteel? I'd seriously ******* hope not, but that's literally the standard we're setting in allowing something like this on the wiki.

When the work literally includes the phrase "and then he turned into a super saiyan invisible dragon" how is this not instantly declared something we should only host on FC/OC or Joke Battles? I legitimately don't understand the reasoning behind the people "supporting" this travesty other than "it's a prank, bro", and that's not the kind of mentality or material we should host here.

The super saiyan thing is a weak argument tbh

We have verses where characters turns into super saiyans (mostly as a joke or a reference) and yet we dont delete them. We dont even consider the transformation to be some power at all, so

There's a perfectly fine explanation to why Colbob died, it's stated pretty explicitly. It just doesn't show it actually happening.

I don't really care about it staying here that much, I just think it fits with all the stuff that came before it. If you wanna nuke non-serious characters and ones that reference Dragonball (a fuckton do that, I might add), go ahead.

So what is left to do here?

If the consensus is against deleting ID, then this thread's run its course with no real action to be taken.

Any changes that need to be done with the calcs/profiles don't really belong here.

Well, I made this also to post all his abilities and stats since people had pointed out that his original profile was lacking in those. The deletion is part of it, but the idea was to discuss his stats as well.

...So the rest of my arguement is meaningless aside from the Super Saiyan comment?

Like can someone explain why anyone wants to even touch this "series" other than to meme/spam the hell out of it in threads, honestly? The thread would always end with "and then the opponent self-destructed/killed himself" except in extremely rare circumstances.

As much as I'd like to get rid of every profile that was made as a meme, we don't have a rule against that, and proposed rules against it have been shot down.

But for what it's worth, any thread that ends with "opponent self-destructs" with no thought behind it would be a stomp anyway.

The invasion of Hydras, Zerglings and Overlords from StarCraft is probably a bigger deal than super saiyan invisible dragon though
might as well delete all verses that mention the mythos

That's the litteral equivalent to "a character with hax (such as mind, death, soul, etc. manip) will always win because of hax, thus the profile is redundant" Which makes no sense for obvious reasons, unless you would want to match ban every even slightly haxed character.

Hmm idk if that's necessary, it really doesn't seem better than any other thought-based hax, it kinda seems worse since he seemingly has to dodge to use it.

There's quite a few other characters who cause the opponents to commit suicide, some even do so passively, and they've never turned out to be issues.

Destroying a few jets in 0.001 milliseconds should warrant "At least Supersonic, likely far higher". Just moving half a meter in 0.001 seconds is supersonic.

It's already "At least Supersonic+, likely higher", which seems fine. He has energy projection which he presumably used to destroy them, so he probably did move half a meter (or less).

I don't see the need for a match ban, he just has generally high AP, and two of his keys have very high speed (which is still lower than any infinite/immeasurable stuff). The suicide move is just mildly haxed.

People just have to be responsible and not keep throwing him against people that can't possibly beat him. He's not worse than passive hax people like Little Treasure, most of Masadaverse, etc.

Well, we probably need some sort of restriction to avoid lots of gag-matchups.

Hmm, the important part is monitoring and closing any gag/stomp matches, but idk what sort of note we could put about that, or if one is necessary just yet. It might be considering a couple of stomps have already been made.

for how poorly written is this guy I wouldn't be surprised that multiplier intention was to make him 2-B and Not leave him at Low 2-C

I made Colbob profile since he's the main antagonist of the story and he is much stronger than ID.

Rest of the characters don't really need a profile since they are to insignificant

He and 300 other Low 2-Cs fused 301 universes together. Since it had one guy for each universe, we weren't sure if it'd qualify for 2-C.

so we decided that this character is allowed on the wiki? i hope so because i want to make a page for empress theresa then

Ah, Empress Theresa. Wanted to read that, but kept procastinating...

Maybe God is Dead, by Onision, could also make for one hell of a profile.

If all goes well I'mma bring up Basement Heroes again. The second one at the very least is of higher quality than Invisible Dragon.

I was thinking Daniel from reaper's creek would be good
Ah wait, that's the one wiith the coding and god and all, right?

My mistake, I jus asasumed "god is dead" is the one where god dies.

yeah. it's called reaper's creek because he kills the grim reaper. (to be fair i haven't read god is dead yet. so he might do that there too)
