Infinite Death Loop

So I wanted to know how GER activates Infinite Death Loop as in Diavolo his first death was bu the guy in the sewer and not GIorno so does that mean Giorno personally does not need to kill his opponents?

As far as I understand, the loop is all about GER partially undoing someone's death.

Like, GER is cause and effect manipulation. It normally undoes the effect, undoing the cause (GER makes it so that someone never punched him, so the damage done by the punch is undone). The death loop is the opposite, he undoes the effect (death) but leaves the cause (something that causes death).

So, long story short, if someone is dead, their death keeps being undone, but they are still stuck in a situation where they are about to die.


So while not GER itself, the enemy would need to die regardless for it to work.

It's likely he died from being punched or drowning.

Once in the loop, yes. They will keep dying regardless of what they do once in the loop.

Before the loop, they need to die somehow naturally, GER can't just death hax people out of nowhere.

Can anyone tell me why was Diavolo experiencing gpain even after assumed dead by Doctor is this a part of it's ability?
