The claws of the demon slightly cut Jack, but only barely, as he attempts to dodge them, the demon appears to be quite fast. The lightning damages the demon, however it burns the previous cut, halting the bleeding somewhat. The demon screeches in anger and begins swinging its claws around at incredible speeds, its claws begin shooting out slashes of demonic energy.

As Dies heads further she sees the tunnel expand to a large, partially collapsed room that seemingly leads to some other rooms, three large spiders lunge at her, while one shoots a web at Dies to bind her.

Dies creates a forcefield, blocking all of the attacks. "O parum aranearum, quam tibi ceciderunt in mea tela." She then swings her sword at all 3 of the spiders.

I follow Dies into the room.

The forcefield repels the cobwebs and the spiders are sent flying back by the sword slash, all 4 spiders lunge at Dies once more in an attempt to bite through the forcefield.

Dies drops the forcefield, she fires a huge gloom laser at all 4 spiders.

 

[The_Divine_Phoenix]

The laser blows apart two of the spiders and injures another, the remains falling to the ground covered in green blood in front of Dies, one spider successfully avoids the blast and bites Dies' arm.

Dies creates a dagger out of darkness and stabs the spider.

The spider biting Dies dies from the stab, while the last remaining spider lunges at Silas to bite him in the head.

Hearing the sounds of conflict, Jirah began to quicken his pace, letting out a mighty bellow as he drew near.

I roundhouse kick the spider that lunged at me.

 

[The_Divine_Phoenix]

The kick sends the spider flying off, but doesn't kill it. Jirah arrives to see the spider flying away. The spider scurries off into one of the other rooms, disappearing from sight.

I dahs backward to dodge the attacks, while shooting another blast of lightning, aimed at the creature's torso.

Dies absorbs gloominess to heal the bite wound.

The lightning hits the creature again, knocking it off balance, some of the demonic energy blasts hit Jack.

Jirah came closer to Dies and Silas, keeping an eye out for any other threats.

The gloominess heals Dies' wound. The room is now more lit up, three paths can be seen leading to other rooms.

"How do you guys want to deal with the paths?"

Dies shrugs.

"Do you want to go in each one together?"

 

[Junkoposter]

"Bad idea, stick together." Dies says plainly.

[ are you saying sticking together is a bad idea?]

[I'm saying splitting up is a bad idea]

[ but I asked if we should go down each path together, as in all of us going down one path as a group and doing that for every path]

"Lets go down the middle on first." Dies says.

 

[DragonEmperor23]

"Alright."

I start going down the middle path.

Dies follows.

 

[The_Divine_Phoenix]

The path leads into a partially collapsed hall, a large room can be seen at the end of the hall, an altar and many spiders are visible at the edge of the room.

Jirah followed the humans down the path, narrowing his eyes at the spiders ahead.

I try stealthily walking closer to the altar.

 

[The_Divine_Phoenix]

As you enter the room you see dozens of spiders surrounding the altar, upon which a large creature with the lower body of a spider and the upper body of something akin to a dinosaur sits, the creature has an ominous dark aura around it and you notice that the altar is stained in blood.

Dies starts absorbing the gloom in the room, she readies her sword. "Tenebrae scuta, quantum eam minatur." She says plainly.

 

[The_Divine_Phoenix]

The darkness flowing about the room is something beyond mere gloominess, Dies' absorption is not capable of affecting it. What flows throughout the room is the sorrow of a hundred deaths. The creature detects the attempt and begins moving from its perch on the altar. The spiders begin lunging at the group.

I start punching away spiders that get close to me while using Emanation.

Dies creates a circular sheild out of darkness, she then starts slashing with her sword and blocking with the sheild anytime something gets to close.

Jirah let out a bellowing roar, summoning his lesser demons as he began charging at the dino-spider.

 

[The_Divine_Phoenix]

The sheer number of spiders is difficult to deal with for the group, Silas and Dies get bitten multiple times, though they eliminate most of the spiders that approach them. More spiders lunge at the group. The beast has now gotten up and is eyeing the group.

Jirah slashed and swung at any spider that drew near, his demons standing alongside them as they attacked any incoming enemies.

Hack and slash, hack and slash, thats what the Dies do. She ignores the pain and keeps on fighting. "O parum non-sic-innocentes, modo cave Vetus Avia Aranea: rump eius endearments -Ipsa suus ' non satis ut tincidunt ut Illa vultus, neque te satis ut dignissim ut putas." She hums.

I continue to pummel the critters that attack me.

"A little pain isn't going to put me down."

As the group eliminates the spiders, taking some hits, the beast jumps down from the altar and lets out a soul shaking roar. The spiders all vanish in puffs of darkness and their energy returns to the creature. The creature fires a large, homing orb made of echoing, screaming darkness at the group.
