I love how he uses the fact that the player can knock Yoshi off the cliff in the game as proof that Mario canonly did that. Or how he uses Mario mistreating DK in the arcade games despite the fact that he thinks Jumpman and Mario are 2 different people. TBH that video is worse than 10 foot tall Wario yet MatPat treats it like his magnum opus.
 
@Ryui also love how he says there's no toy of Peach even though he straight up showed one in the same video
 
Speaking of Mario and Wario, he forgot to mention that Mario used to bully Wario all the time when they were kids according to one NP comic. Side Note: while most of the other stuff is understandable, and there's a possibility that Mario doesn't know about the brick blocks actually being toads in addition, the arguments about Mario being an ass to Luigi are still solid. I always considered Luigi to be the best Mario character for many reasons.
 
I also find it kinda a double standard when Luigi in gameplay is just as capable of doing the same things that he accuses Mario of yet he treats him like a guardian angel
 
1. I know everyone's all like "lol no canon" but c'mon there's no way that NP comic is the same continuity as the games or can be reliably said to speak on the lore of the entire franchise.

2. No it isn't. All Mario did was jokingly step on Luigi's foot as a form of playful sibling rivalry. MatPat exaggerated it to the point of nearly being a parody.

Also him saying Mario is an animal abuser by attacking wigglers we're both taken out of context Mario 64 Mario didn't know it was his home and he had to do it in order to progress though the level and Mario sunshine he had to kill the wigglers in order to get the next shinesprite (ntm that same wiggler attacked the beach in a later mission so it certainly isn't as innocent as Matpat claims it is.)

It isn't just the Mario Power Tennis one, Luigi's diary in the original Paper Mario revealed Mario completely ignoring Luigi when he politely asked him about going on a journey. There's was also that scene in New Super Mario Bros Wii, where they down right abandoned him; at least the Toads were kinder.

Anyway, Luigi is still canonically more powerful than Mario; not only is he faster and more agile, he has electrokinesis and pyrokinesis as opposed to just pyrokinesis. Luigi's also more durable in the M&L series; also, there are rumors that Luigi is actually physically stronger, the only reason he doesn't use it is because he's "nicer" than Mario.
 
Wasn't it because Mario thought Luigi couldn't handle the journey and would get himself hurt? (Whether or not that's true doesn't matter it's still out of concern for his brother)

EDIT: Actually now reading the diary entries, it's never even said that Mario completely ignored Luigi's kind requests. Just that he goes on his own.

Luigi accidentally closed the door on himself when he tried to walk in actually. But even then one or two douche moves doesn't at all prove MatPat's thesis that he's a sociopathic, sadistic, evil maniac who hates and abuses his brother.
 
Iirc yes it's implied Mario didn't want Luigi on his journey because of his safety and if Luigi got hurt cause of him he wouldn never forgive himself
 
@Dust How so? Because some of them hoard sprites that are needed for the island to survive? Or because some of them will throw Mario off a cliff lol

Chuggaconroy is the best LP'er ever, PERIOD. And NintendoCapriSun is a close second.
 
Chugga and NCS deserve at least twice as many subscribers as what the Pewd's have now. That's a massive lowball as well.
