Gon takes on stealth, skill, adaptability, Battle IQ, and LS, on top of having a lot of winning conditions. Gon would wrap his rod around the dude's leg and immediately pull - this, using stealth - saying Pyro would set his own leg on fire before Gon pulls him like a doll is funny - Gon's superior LS will also allow for inertia to keep Pyro from using his fire on himself to free him from the line.

Once Gon grabs Pyro, there is nothing they can do, Gon will knock any weapons off him, or beat him into submition via insanely superior combat skill, or by breaking his limbs with his 4x LS.

Gon would wrap it already intending to pull. Gon has the headstart by a mile, he pulls before Pyro does jack shit.

Gon needs to AP and the LS to brake Pyros bones. He might be able to hold him down but he can't break his bones.

People can break bones despite having similar AP irl. Torsions also work. It's easy.
