Groovy gets Groovy on the field (Re:Zero Minor Upgrades for our furry divine general)

Here are some abilities that should be added to Groovy's profile:

Enhanced Senses
Groovy can smell Mana
Of course, it would have been a different story if Cecilus’s shrunken state had actually been part of the opponent’s plan, but regarding that, Groovy’s own sense of smell negated that theory.

It was Chisha that had shrunk Cecilus. That he was certain of due to the residual Mana.
Acrobatics
――After parting ways with Cecilus and Al, Groovy, now all on his own, leapt his way across the Imperial Capital.

Regardless of being out in the open, he sailed past the streets, kicked the walls and roofs of the buildings, and bounced with great vigor.

As Groovy spun in circles vertically while hugging his knees close to himself, the thorny vines surfaced and wriggled across his beastly fur-covered chest, its bindings undergoing reactivation due to the shortened distance between him and the caster.
Stealth Mastery and Blessed
Groovy: [Put a ******* sock in it! Our presence may be hidden, but our sounds and smells aren’t! If the nearby fucknuggets notice and surround us, we’ll be in some deep ******* shit!]

Al: [Both of you are too loud…! And don’t wiggle, or I’ll fall…!]

Complaining and shaking Al’s shoulders, the two of them wrapped in the same cloak were reprimanded. The fur cloak that Groovy had prepared was quite the impressive piece of work. Apparently, it was an exceptional item that could be used to prevent the wearer from attracting the attention of others. Rowan, Heinkel, and Groovy had used this fur cloak to slip past the enemy’s radar, and enter the Imperial Capital. In fact, though they had chosen an inconspicuous road, the fur cloak likely played the largest role in the fact that they had not been found once by the undead.

Cecilus: [Even though it’s so swelteringly hot with just our different physiques, I can’t imagine how you and my father managed to get into the Imperial Capital with three people. But still, where did you purchase such a bizarre cloak?]

Groovy: [I didn’t buy it. I made it. You’re too ******* stupid to remember, but I also melted down your Fiend Sword and reforged it into a katana.]
Groovy: [It’s not like I specialize in swords. I make swords, weave garments, and also tinker with magical tools.]

Cecilus: [So, this mysterious cloak is also some kind of magical tool.]

Groovy: [No, this one is just werewolf skin.]

Cecilus expressed an impressed “Ho” at Groovy’s response, and Al’s shoulders shook in astonishment. As Cecilus closely inspected the fur cloak,

Cecilus: [Werewolves are quite rare. I know they exist, but I’ve never met one before.]

Groovy: [It’s because they’re ******* hard to find in the first place. The whole race’s under a Divine Protection, just like ground dragons or the Uruha people of the Holy Kingdom. If you skin them alive, the Divine Protection remains on their pelt. It’s an effective use of those sneaky *******.]

Al: [The Divine Protection of the Concealing Cloud…?]

Groovy: [Ahh? So you know about that ******* old-fashioned name for it. The Divine Protection of Ambush is more common… Although the topic of ******* werewolves isn’t too common to begin with.]

Poison and Pain resistance

Groovy: [If it’s a shitty curse that torments the opponent, then there’s gotta be a loophole…!]

Drawing out a single dagger from the waistband fastened securely around his own body, Groovy barked.

Selected from the waistband loaded with multiple daggers, was one with a purple line streaking across its blade, and Groovy pointed the sharp edge of the dagger at his own neck, pushing the tip into himself.

Immediately, the poison affixed to the edge of the dagger’s blade coursed into his body, rapidly eating away at the petite build of the hyena person by flowing through his bloodstream. The deadly toxin ran amok, delighted by the joy brought on from fulfilling its duty of killing a living creature, and as it rushed to put a lethal end to the creature’s vital activity―― the blade was pulled back right before it could do so.

Groovy: [――Ahh.]

Enduring the sensation that caused the contents of his stomach to go through a reflux, blood rushed to Groovy’s widened eyes.

With the capillaries of his eyeballs having been ruptured, both of his eyes were dyed red, but his physical body had stopped short of being felled by the virulent poison, and a change was delivered to it instead.

A part of his body’s senses had been silenced by the poison. ――His sense of pain had been suppressed.

The next moment, the pain from the thorns that would have been enough to immobilize him had disappeared, and the sensation that constricted his heart was subdued by the exhilaration that came from forcibly overcoming the threat to his life.

Originally, the poison had been intended to be used as a tool for torture, the procedure consisting of administering it to captive enemies and letting them watch, fully conscious, as their own bodies were mutilated, all the while being unable to feel any pain.

Although, as long as he adjusted the dosage, he thought it would be possible to maintain control over his body and carry on with his sense of pain eradicated, just like this. He had always wanted to test this but had lacked the opportunity to do so, yet it had gone swimmingly without any preparation beforehand.

Groovy: [If I ever tested this on that ******* dumbass Cecilus, then it’s gonna be an irreversible mistake in case I **** it up.]

If it were a matter of his own body, then he had it completely memorized, starting from the number of his beastly hairs without a single fang’s width of inaccuracy. He was able to make even the slightest adjustments thanks to it, but testing the poison on Cecilus or Al would have meant making rough estimates with their lives on the line.

More specifically, he did have an urge to test to see if even Cecilus would die from the poison―― pushing down his slowly climbing curiosity, Groovy set out for the third bastion.

Explosion Manipulation
Positioning his fangs together with an audible click, he drew out the chain and sickle that he carried on his back. It was a weapon difficult to handle, consisting of a wide, single-handed sickle connected to a weight with a chain. Usually, the chain would only be several meters long, and the chain and sickle were supposed to be used in fights that were close-ranged or middle-ranged, but Groovy’s weapon had been fashioned from unique materials. Because of that, the chained weight had easily reached the group of undead, even though they had been nearly thirty meters away from him. He swung his sickle-wielding hand in wide arcs, and the chained weight that followed after a moment sang its metallic tunes as it flew towards the ground with tremendous speed. The size of the weight was equal to a fist, but the power behind its acceleration was too enormous to be converted to a mere punch.

Of course, the undead jumped out of the pathway of the weight, not wanting to be on the receiving end of it―― but, how naive.

Groovy: [******* MORONS!!]

The launched weight made contact with the ground in the direction of Groovy’s roar.

Suddenly, the weight manifested a red hue from within, and the surrounding buildings were caught in the massive explosion that followed. The resulting powerful shockwave engulfed the undead that had narrowly avoided the blast, and just like that, one of the Imperial Capital’s streets had been annihilated.

――The Crimson Hills Girall were located northwest of the Kararagi City-States, near the Great Waterfall.

That place, which appeared as a red desert area, was the most dangerous land in the world, made from delicate Fire Magic Stone particles resembling grains of sand. Because even a puff of wind could trigger a chain of explosions in that region, it was said to have been created from the bloody tears of a Great Spirit who had failed to become a part of the Four Greats.

The weight connected to Groovy’s chain and sickle contained Fire Magic Stones that had been collected from the Crimson Hills Girall in its interior, able to unleash its exceptionally destructive power in this manner upon absorbing Mana from its surroundings.

Exposing himself to the aftershock from the explosive heat that had demolished an entire street, Groovy landed on the charred ruins that unceasingly emanated black smoke and burned ablaze, and while leaning up to straighten his back.

Groovy: [Can’t ******* ambush me with a shitty curse like that!!]

As a shadow dropped from the sky, the hem of their red overcoat fluttering in the air, he launched the chained weight at them.

Just as how the power behind the weight had been demonstrated earlier, the opponent intercepted it with the sword in their hand, and immediately after that, an eruptive blaze swallowed them whole.

However――,

Groovy: [Tch!]

Witnessing the flames that had enveloped the sky becoming split in half, Groovy leapt backwards immediately.

The unnatural change that had occurred to the flames was a testament to the fact that the flying silhouette had chopped it down. In addition, the thorns pulsing with ardor at the arrival of their master, as if they were howling with joy, told him that his opponent was the one responsible for scattering the curse of thorns against Groovy, as well as his surroundings.
As he said this, Groovy was not holding an additional blood hatchet, but rather the severed weighted chain from the kusarigama that had been burned by the Yang Sword in the initial attack.A specially engineered chain weight, it was briefly spun, and then was thrown with arrow-like speed at Eugard’s feet as he struggled to evade the blood hatchets.Eugard: [――!]Eugard turned his wrist to catch the chain weight with the middle of the Yang Sword.

Immediately seeing the difference between it and the blood hatchets, it was a brilliant move on his part deciding that it would be safe to defend against it. However, in the arsenal of the Master of Curse Tools, Groovy Gumlet, there was nothing one could safely touch.

At the moment of impact, the chain weight glowed red, and a tremendous explosion enveloped Eugard.

Eugard: [Ohhh――]Tossed by the blast and flames, Eugard finally let out a distressed cry and was blown away. Nevertheless, Eugard straightened up his limp body, and he immediately tried to prepare for a follow-up attack.

Vibration Manipulation
Groovy was readied with two hatchets, and while pointing out his manner of speech rather than those weapons, Eugard was calmly poised to intercept with the Yang Sword. To his opponent who stood ready to intercept him, Groovy furiously bared his fangs, and he struck with his hatchets in a vertical attack.

Naturally, the strike was blocked by the Yang Sword, which had been raised overhead, but that was just what he wanted.

Eugard: [Hm.]

At the moment the Yang Sword collided with the hatchets, cracks formed in Eugard’s face. Literally.

The crack on the cheek of his pale, prim face was proof that Groovy’s blow had permeated through his opponent.

Groovy: [It worked, but **** off!]

At the puzzled Eugard, Groovy laughed with a sidelong glance as the hatchets were blown away in a blaze of flame.

To avoid the spread of fire, he had let go of the hatchets the moment they hit the Yang Sword, but the effect of those Curse Tools―― not cutting them, but forcing an impact through them, was activated.

Originally, it was a Curse Tool that had been made to kill opponents who wore thick armor and steel helmets even when they were still clad in that equipment. The blade of the hatchet vibrated immensely at such a minute scale that it could not be seen; even the slightest contact would cause the vibrations to be sent throughout the opponent’s body, pulverizing their bones and viscera.

Though would be lethal damage for a living person, he was not sure how effective it would be against an undead――,

Eugard: [Enthralling. But if thou art incapable of continuing onward――]

Groovy: [Who ever said anything like that? I’ve got a fuckton of Curse Tools left!]

Supernatural Willpower
Groovy did not consider himself to be particularly strong among the Nine Divine Generals. He once prided himself on being the strongest in Vollachia. However, after being recruited by Vincent and seeing others who had been given the same rank of General, those illusions vanished.

He desired to be strong, but he did not want to step out of line, and he was not qualified to do so.

He was no match for Cecilus with his strength, Arakiya with her explosive power, Olbart with his versatility, Chisha with his intellect, Goz with his caliber as a General, Moguro with their survivability, Yorna with her unorthodoxy, Madelyn with her anti-army capabilities, and Balleroy with his anti-unit efficiency.

That was Groovy’s self-assessment and the point he’d arrived at as a general. However, aside from that, Groovy had strengths that the other Generals did not possess.――Groovy excelled in his relentless dedication and method of killing his opponents.

He also poisoned himself to defeat Eugard (scans are above in the poison section) and survived for a week without rest or food

Groovy: “**** **** ******* ****, these ******* ******** bastards…!”

Even the vigor in his words had grown weak; he was aware that he was wearing himself out. Running across plains, and continuing to fight without sleep or rest, were things he had always been doing in order to survive in the vast lands of the Empire since he was a child. Nevertheless, the stress from going over ten days without eating or drinking was on a different dimension entirely.

Homing Attack

Eugard frowned slightly, evaporating the mist of blood with the flames of the Yang Sword. The blood contained the poison that Groovy had taken in, but even if one were exposed to it, the damage would be negligible. The goal, however, was not to poison his opponent. It was to apply Groovy’s blood. ――It was successfully applied to his sleeve, which he could not shake off.Groovy: [Like fish in a ******* barrel.]Immediately after, Groovy smiled, his bloody fangs showing. Around Eugard―― the countless hatchets he had dodged so far drew close to him, as if pulled by a string.Using Groovy’s blood as a medium to acquire its target, it was a guided tomahawk application of Curse Tool known as “blood hatchets”.Eugard: [This is…]Eugard dodged the incoming blood hatchet, but then his eyes widened as he saw it circle around and come back again.Eugard, with his incredible physical prowess, dodged, dodged, dodged, and continued to dodge the storm of blood hatchets coming at him from all directions, but unless he knocked them down, they would eventually catch up to him as they came flying at him endlessly.
Aiming toward Eugard, the blood hatchets swarmed the motionless target. One blood hatchet could shatter bones, two could crush internal organs, and three or more could end a life. With ten or twenty of them pouring down, not even Eugard could withstand it. Therefore, Groovy felt sure that he had killed him――,

Eugard: [――Stand tall. Thou art stronger than all the Nine Divine Generals of mine era.]
Sound Manipulation

For a moment, the line of sight between Groovy and Eugard was obstructed.

Groovy: [Go, ****, yourSELLLLLF――!!]

From the one side of that unfurled cloth, Groovy flicked the magic crystal embedded in his throat, and hit Eugard with a surging roar that rumbled the very atmosphere.

From an unseeable position, with an onslaught equivalent to sound itself, it was a surprise attack that was impossible to dodge.

But, against that sound, Eugard displayed the true ability of the Fiend Sword.

Here are some more weapons that should be added to his profile:
SnakeWhip Sword

A slash from the Fiend Sword sliced off Groovy’s right ear as he leaned forward, and a kick from his leaping opponent hit him in the midsection, sending his small body flying backward.

But, as he was being sent flying, Groovy undid his waistband, swung his snakewhip sword, which was made from a series of snakepeople fangs, and began to cleave at the head of the pursuing Eugard.

Eugard: [If thou hadst been among the insurrectionists, the life of Mine Star may hath even been in danger.]

As it unwinded, the snakewhip sword unleashed a long, undulating blow akin to the body of a serpent. Unsparingly dismantling it with the Fiend Sword as it approached him, Eugard appraised Groovy’s fighting strength by comparing it to his own experiences.

Grappling Hook

And as proof of his honor at that evaluation from the strongest Emperor in all history, Groovy aligned his feet, and fired two grappling hooks from the cuffs of his trousers in an attempt to shatter both shoulders of his opponent.

Eugard: [Even under such circumstances, thou art as sumptuous as ever.]

As the heels of his feet were whittled down by those grappling hooks, Eugard delivered a kick to Groovy; coughing up blood as a result of that kick, Groovy ripped off the cloth wrapped around his neck, and unfurled it into the air.

Poisonous Dagger
Drawing out a single dagger from the waistband fastened securely around his own body, Groovy barked.

Selected from the waistband loaded with multiple daggers, was one with a purple line streaking across its blade, and Groovy pointed the sharp edge of the dagger at his own neck, pushing the tip into himself.

Immediately, the poison affixed to the edge of the dagger’s blade coursed into his body, rapidly eating away at the petite build of the hyenaperson by flowing through his bloodstream. The deadly toxin ran amok, delighted by the joy brought on from fulfilling its duty of killing a living creature, and as it rushed to put a lethal end to the creature’s vital activity―― the blade was pulled back right before it could do so.

Explosive kusarigama

Positioning his fangs together with an audible click, he drew out the chain and sickle that he carried on his back.

It was a weapon difficult to handle, consisting of a wide, single-handed sickle connected to a weight with a chain. Usually, the chain would only be several meters long, and the chain and sickle were supposed to be used in fights that were close-ranged or middle-ranged, but Groovy’s weapon had been fashioned from unique materials.

MORE Kusarigama

Groovy: [Go **** yourseeelf!!]

As a bursting roar thunderously boomed out of his throat, Groovy Gumlet leapt high into the air, and discarded the kusarigama which had had its handle cut in half.

A moment later, the kusarigama which had left his hand burst into deep red flames midair.

Had he hesitated for even a moment, those flames would have likely consumed him; his fur instinctually stood on end as he realized he had nearly been burned to death. But, he did not have time to feel relief.

Moreover, his stamina section should have this added:

Groovy: “**** **** ******* ****, these ******* ******** bastards…!”

Even the vigor in his words had grown weak; he was aware that he was wearing himself out.

Running across plains, and continuing to fight without sleep or rest, were things he had always been doing in order to survive in the vast lands of the Empire since he was a child.

Nevertheless, the stress from going over ten days without eating or drinking was on a different dimension entirely.

While in the process of applying this, Zab realized there were some things missing that should be added; Curse Manipulation, Energy Projection, and Death Manipulation.

Additionally, I believe he should have Genius Intelligence:

Groovy Gumlet ranks among the nine strongest soldiers of Vollachia, revered as "Sixth." His knowledge of war and battle tactics is at the level one would expect from a First-Class General,[8] and his self-taught, jack-of-all-trades fighting style[2] renders him a formidable opponent capable of turning the tide of battle against superior warriors. Not only is Groovy a first-class fighter, but he is also the foremost expert in Magic and Curse Arts in Vollachia[7]— being the sole individual capable of crafting items that utilize Magic and Curses known as Curse Tools, earning him the title of Master of Curse Tools. To create these Curse Tools, Groovy has acquired knowledge of many rare species in the world containing various materials,[3] along with skills in blacksmithing, weaving, and tinkering.[8] Groovy's expertise is so great that he can immediately identify a Curse's type by sight alone,[18] with even the Greatest Shinobi Halibel considering his knowledge of Curses to be top-class. Groovy has completely memorized all aspects of his own body, from the number of hairs on his body[3] to the dosage of poison he can take and live while suppressing his sense of pain. Anyone but a lower-grade opponent can brush off Shamak[19], which affects the senses such as hearing and vision, with skill. As skilled as The Hornet, who easily detected and would have killed a younger Arakiya, despite her body being merged with the wind and being invisible[20]

And Finally we should remove this weakness from Halibel's profile as it has been retconned:

Halibel’s “clones” could be divided into two types, those that were merely illusions made of fur, and genuine clones with substance on par with Halibel’s real body.

With this combination, the essence of Halibel’s fighting style evolved around toying with his opponents, and even just the illusory clones were equipped with the ability to completely subdue any average opponent.

and
Against Eugard, who implemented that with insight and determination, Halibel kept Eugard’s arm restrained, and had his clones step forward from three other directions.

A palm blow and a kick, together with one of them delivering a scatter shot of flying debris by striking a stone they had scooped out from the ground―― Eugard, with his arm held, deflected them away with his overwhelming swordsmanship.

The Yang Sword in his right hand had instantly vanished, then had reappeared in his left hand, and through that he was able to blow the three approaching Halibels away whilst scorching them.

Two among them were clones made of fur, but the one who had performed the scatter shot was a genuine body.

Sensing the burnt smell of his own fur being scorched, Halibel delivered a karate chop, boring into the cheek of the Eugard as it grazed past, and a few seconds of ultra-high grade combat had begun.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Halibel's real bodies still share injuries? And we should probably get a scan showing how many of each he can have at a time.

According to the scan, it reads as though 3 Halibels were scorched by the Yang Sword, with one being a real body. I think he'd be dead if they shared damage, no?

No? That'd only mean at the least he took damage and I thought he did.
Being scorched by the Yang Sword would just kill him, right?
The next moment, the multitude of Lamias, brandishing their Yang Swords, lunged at Goz, who had so boldly proclaimed this. With a single touch of the sword, the scintillating flame of Vollachia would incinerate a person down to their soul.
......
With just one slash of the Yang Sword, its flames would scorch a soul until naught remained. The magical blade’s effect, which boosted the physical abilities of the wielder, could transform even the pampered members of the Vollachian Imperial Family into top-notch fighters. —"Berstetz Fondalfon"
The Witch had fallen back with agile movements; however, one tuft of her pink hair had been cut by the flash of the Yang Sword―― that instant, Sphinx’s whole body ignited.

And, that was not just the Sphinx who had been cut; the fire also spread to the Sphinx whom she herself had shot and reduced to dust, as well as the Sphinx who had been turning into an amethyst crystal.

――The Yang Sword Vollachia had decided to burn the Witch, Sphinx, to naught.

The result of that, was the burning figures of the Sphinxes.

Enveloped in a blaze, it probably would have been best to keep vigilance over Sphinx as she struggled in vain before she was reduced to ashes, but――,

Vincent: ['Tis unnecessary. Being scorched by the flame of the Yang Sword, is precisely that sort of thing.] —"Sphinx"

Being scorched by the Yang Sword would just kill him, right?
That just depends on how it's used cause Priscilla at least hasn't used it like that most of the time but I suppose you're right it probably would. Could also be a classic Tappei fake out. Actually it seems hat way from how the follow up is worded. Is there an actual good clear example of one of his real bodies taking damage and the rest not?

The differences between clone types aren't revealed until chapter 50, but plenty of clones die in chapter 49. In chapter 50, this is the only example of it being specified that a real clone was used;
Against Eugard, who implemented that with insight and determination, Halibel kept Eugard’s arm restrained, and had his clones step forward from three other directions.

Maybe I'm overlooking something but it doesn't really read as a fakeout.
