Grimm Creatures, Cardin Winchester, and Jaune Arc upgrade. Russel Thrush downgrade.

So I just noticed that the Nevermore and Death Stalker were only listed as hypersonic+, and looking at the fight in episode 8 that didn't seem right. When Ruby first charged at the Death Stalker it was able to hit her just fine, and later in the episode the Nevermore was able to dodge the various ranged attacks of team RWBY, and still later the King Taijitu was able to land blows on Jaun and Pyrrha (although they managed to block it, but were still pushed back).

So with that I think they, and the stronger Grimm creatures, should be upgraded to have high hypersonic reactions/combat speed, as that was the speed of the two teams as of season 1

Now as for Jaune and team CRDL, Jaune blocked attacks from the Death Stalker, Cardin and Jaune are comparable in speed, team CRDL kept up with an early season 2 Pyrrha, and Jaune got "undazed" and stood up in less time than it took semblance enhanced early season 2 Ruby to charge across a room. So I think it would make sense for these guys to also have high hypersonic reactions.

Also, after writing all this I looked at Russel's page, and I can't help thinking, isn't it possible that team RWBY and JNPR trained and got stronger in preparation for the Vital festival? I don't think Russel should get scaled to MHS for taking on Pyrrha back when team RWBY and JNPR didn't scale to anyone of that level of speed.

Edit: The King Taijitu is also able to keep up with and land blows on Ren in early season 1.

Where does Rwbys HHS stat come from? can't just give random speed tiers so if they get downgraded they would get downgraded to whatever highest known lower value is

I understood it as since most of the named cast of RWBY are at MHS ratings, then the slower ones who were at least able to keep up to an extent (Jaune, Cardin, etc.) should at least get HHS (if not with the +, heck maybe even the bare minimum for MHS but let's ignore that). He made the case that Cardin, the Nevermore and King Taijitu were able to keep up to an extent as well.

mmm actually, I do not mind having it work like the way it is now, I've just seen other staff having issues with doing it, but if no-one has a issue with it here i'm fine with it

Well, Jaune is able to react to a few attacks from the people at Vytal which shouldn't be the case if he was only HS+ in reflexes so there's that. Regardless, I believe the upgrade is good but I'll watch from the sidelines.

The kick to the bullet is the one we currently use for Jaune and the rest's scaling atm iirc.

The kick to the bullets is what we scaled them all too before Mercury's lightning dodging, but for some reason when it was decided that they wouldn't scale to Mercury's lightning dodging everyone involved in the revision just seemed to forget about that calc.

Just wanted to make a little correction, it's called a Deathstalker. Not a King Taijitu. The King Taijitu is the double headed snake. The Deathstalker is the scorpion.

If character A lands a blow on character B with x level of combat/reaction speed, don't we scale character A's combat/reactions to character B's?
