I'll vote for Mario and talk about how atoms in Mario can dream. We know this because cells and even literal memories are alive as shown in Bowser's Inside Story. Things like lava, which is molten rock, and fire, which is a gas, are also alive. And in Paper Mario Color Splash, it shows that paint is the reason everything works. Without paint, not only can characters not do anything without paint, but even non living objects can't function without paint.
