Can Godzilla even hit Goku due to the skill gap? Goku has experience fighting enemies much larger than himself as that's stuff he's been doing since he was a kid with the best example being when Piccolo Jr. grew to a massive size against him.

Admittedly Piccolo Jr seemed more sluggish than before and Goku already possessed a slight speed advantage on Piccolo there. With Godzilla's own level of skill and experience at fighting foes smaller than him, that should even itself out somewhat.
