God of War: Ragnarok Discussion Thread

Lifting Strength: At least Infinite (As in the original myths, Hercules held[6] up the infinite[7] universe so Atlas could retrieve the apples of Hera. He was also able to match Kratos in push and pull, and threw him hard enough to temporarily knock him out), likely Immeasurable (The Greek Reality in God of War was shown to contain numerous universe-sized dimensions bordering the main universe, such as Thanatos's Domain of Death, which predates even the Titans themselves[8], Nyx’s parallel dimension of eternal night[9], and Morpheus's Dream Realm, which had its own flow of time[5])
Doesn't even need cory, we got scans of it happening in canon

Hyperion's got a spear that can hold up the cosmos. Not sure if it's referring to just the physical infinite space of the Mortal World (Which is infinite in size as per the GOW1 novel) or the entirety of the realm.
It says "cosmos" which imo is just the mortal world.

And then there is atlas' hammer which was stated to have the weight of "the world" but KLOL506 said it's referencing only the earth so idk about that one.

btw we know light of alfheim able to deconstruct someone mind and body in GoW R.

But at the same time in 2018 those light able to remove odin magic black breath. And atreus able to utilize those light with his bow and arrow. So atreus has deconstruction, mind destruction, and power null via that bow ?
If so, atreus getting amped. Also, kratos survived inside of the light as well.

It'd be a stretch to apply everything about the Light if it isn't even insinuated to hold those abilities. Could be wrong.

At the very least we know it's got Soul Manip, Madness Manip and Deconstruction, two of which are handled by Poseidon's bullshittery and Madness Manip is handled by Sirens.

well it's not really extrapolating tbh. It just a very simple hax scaling imo. It's similar case like Bifrost thing, where the energy can be used to a lot of thing

In GoW Card game. the light of alfheim by itself could destroy the realms.

"Mimir is a god of immense wisdom. Too valuable to kill, Odin has imprisoned him here and often takes council from him. In order to ensure Mimir's truthfulness, Odin has enchanted his tongue and mind, so he can never lie. These were some of the early options the team entertained when exploring the form Mimir's prison would take. "

I feel like one of the ways it could go with Athena (about the next gow game) is have her (in a disguised form of course) make sindri her champion (via giving him power almost beyond the gods) or brainwash him into thinking that the father and son duo never cared for them (via mind tricks or straight up making forge memories or stuff)

There was way more ambition. At one point there were like six water levels you were draining. You’d drain all the water out and have that whole open area. We had so much crazy stuff going on in there. I didn’t realize, “Okay, this is way too much. It’s overwhelming. You can’t process it.” We discovered how hard it was for people to understand the realms, the idea that the realms all exist on top of each other, almost in different dimensions. The idea that you’re in one realm or the other and they share the same space, just in a different dimension of understanding—that was really complicated until we figured out a few elegant, easy ways to explain it.

Shouldn't the earth in GoW's Greek World be infinite in size for it covers the entirety of the endless Underworld and has an endless sea?
It's actually stated to have an "infinite sky" in the GOW1 novel. The flat mortal plain is finite, but the cosmos surrounding it as per the novel is not.

Then there's the Domain of Death and the Underworld below. In that exact order.

Was it stated the sea is endless? Also i think it was shown in official cosmology image earth being smaller than the Underworld and the sky.

Chapter 2. Same chapter where the infinite sky is mentioned.

Though GOW2 states the Island of Creation to be at the edge of Greece.
