Genshin Impact General Discussion!

The community is big, the game is played as ****, therefore there are tons of people that just make the community look bad and do not nothing about what they are talking, it is normal for game like this that are played that much

I dunno if this has been brought up here before, but if there are still any doubts about the validity of the storm calcs for Razor and Lisa, Razor directly references Lisa's ability to create said storms in his voicelines about her, and even uses it as a point to explain why he thinks she's so strong.

Scaling from Lisa and Razor, the minimum tier of the Traveler should be High 7-C.

But the whole situation are too ridiculous for being taken as normal, even the other gacha games that had their baddies are much better than this

Would still like thoughts on the Razor/Lisa storm calc. Seems like the clouds created by both Razor and Lisa's Hold-Es are minimum 29.5 megatons, which is a decent bit into 7-B. Could go up to High 7-A if it doesn't rain at the top of Qingyun Peak, so can someone see if ongoing rain stops when you climb up? It's actually quite convenient, since most of Honkai Impact is also 7-B, and we'd finally have a base tier for us to start making profiles with.

Edit: This tablet writing on the path leading up Qingyun Peak implies that it doesn't rain up there: "Black clouds too shall pass, just as silver linings end. Come sun or rain, all seems the same from the heights of Jueyun Karst." So High 7-A might actually work out.

On a different note, I'd also like thoughts on a piece of information I've yet to confirm. But apparently the Seven Archons only became Archons (ergo, received their Gnoses) with the end of the Archon War, which would imply that Morax performed his god-slaying feats while he was still an Adeptus.

Granted, he was the strongest Adeptus ever, and it took Adepti power to defeat Osial in the main story, so it's not entirely out there for Morax to have performed all of his Archon War feats as an Adeptus. This would imply that he'd still have this power as Zhongli, since he only lost his Gnosis and he presumably never needed it for his best known feats. This would still be consistent with the implications in Childe's voicelines that Zhongli would absolutely fodderize Childe (currently our strongest human character), despite Childe's belief that if he teamed up with the Traveler, they'd be able to take on all the other Harbingers themselves.

Albedo can apparently bring the subjects of his paintings into reality with Alchemy. Not sure how useful that'd be outside of prep, but it's pretty notable.

Update to a past point about Traveler vs Childe. Apparently Traveler does scale to Childe's FLT during the battle in the Golden House. Childe's defeat quotes in his third phase are the same in both the story version and the weekly boss, as I just saw a streamer go through the story boss for the first time and Childe's defeat quote was "You're a cut... above..." in his 3rd phase. Link here.

This doesn't necessarily have any bearing on Childe during his story quest, but it should be noted for Traveler's Liyue key. It even makes sense that Childe lost in his FLT, since such a massive loss would've motivated him to train even harder, as well as fuel his apparent rivalry with the Traveler that's displayed in his story quest.

New area is kinda tough, got my ass kicked by a Ruin Grader cuz I didn't know its weak spots and died from frostbite multiple times in the middle of fights cuz I wasn't paying attention to the frostbite meter.

Also, Traveller has some purification ability that lets them resist curses and poisons.

Albedo is starting to get pretty scary. Like he's some kind of eldritch horror just waiting to blow up. Rosaria heavily implies that he's some kind of unstable monster, Albedo himself says that he might one day lose control and destroy everything, and Dainsleif, who doesn't intervene at all when Stormterror or Osial are rampaging across Mondstadt and Liyue, says that if Albedo so much as steps a toe out of line he'd jump in right away and kill the guy.

Then there's the stuff of Albedo apparently being an artificial lifeform born from alchemical chalk. Chalk apparently births primordial life with zero imperfections according to the man himself, too.

Even taking out his inner monster, his skill in alchemy far outclasses Sucrose, who casually creates Anemo Hypostases - albeit ones that don't last very long. He creates genuine life from drawings, transforms lifeforms into other lifeforms with a touch, and we haven't even seen everything he can do yet. Dude's crazy.

Damn sounds like some Event Boss material right there lol

Also is their a way we can figure our the dragons size from it's remains? Never realized the dragon, Venti & Dvalin fought was so massive

Probably. Problem is that we've already come to the conclusion that the size of things as seen in game aren't to scale with their actual size, so it's likely that Durin was way bigger than his skeletal remains imply.

So, I heard buzz that Genshin is a parallel universe to Honkai. Can someone confirm?

Hu Tao's constellations have been leaked. Her C6 sounds insane.

Hu Tao's Constellations:
C1: Charged Attack doesn't consume energy during her E
C2: 4% of Max Health scales to her blood plum damage, ult now applies the blood plum status
C3: E skill uncap
C4: Killing people with blood plum effect on them increases crit rate for team excluding herself for 12% for 15 seconds
C5: Q skill uncap
C6: If she goes below 25% health or suffers a killing blow, she won't die. For 10 seconds. Elemental and physical resistance up by 200%, crit rate by 100%. Effect triggered once every sixty seconds.

I have a question about Catalyst Users

Are they physically strong?

like for example, Barbara, Klee, Mona, Lisa, Sucrose, etc.

They have strong elemental powers but do their physical stats scale to that?

Probably not, at best they backscale immensely (at least in AP, dura is fine since they don’t get one shot by everything.)

Agreed on the "not".

It's referenced many times that the Vision has no bearing on its user's physical stats, only giving elemental powers, and all human physical abilities are achieved through training - which is why the Knights, Millelith and Adventurers Guild are mostly comprised of Vision-less people and yet are still effective organizations. Combatants like Diluc and Jean are noted to train extensively and consistently, and it's even a known fact that Kaeya was a renowned knight despite lacking a Vision before his fight with Diluc.

Catalyst-users shouldn't be comparable, at least in terms of Striking Strength, since it's even noted how Lisa, one of the strongest Catalyst-users we know of so far, dislikes putting in physical effort; and would naturally hate training in the way that the Knights do. Granted, their durability should scale, since they can tank their own attacks, and even magic-using enemies like Cicin and Abyss Mages can tank blows from opponents that are vastly superior physically.

Yeah, basically, Catalyst users can scale with AP and Durability, however, they shouldn't scale in Striking Strength. Their SS should likely be at "Unknown".

For a little bit yeah. Mainly to deal with the last Digimon and Soul Calibur stuff, then I am returning to my cave.

aight, thank you for clearing that up

Genshin Impact as a whole confuses me since canonically, many characters are completely featless even though they are playable (like Barbara, Diona, Qiqi, etc.), and I wasn't sure if playing as that character would grant them feats

Would Bow users follow the same logic? (All bow users except Tartaglia)

Also, has anyone calculated the stats of Prime Barbatos and Morax yet? I feel like their stats were different enough compared to the present day to warrant their own key

Qiqi isn't completely featless. She's Adepti tier when not holding back.

In the Archon War era, she was a young girl who picked herbs for a living. Due to an unlucky coincidence, she found herself in the middle of a fight between several Adepti (Xiao is one of them) and got mortally wounded. Due to a desperate wish to not die, to freeze time at that moment forever, she was granted her Cryo Vision at the time of her death. Remorseful at having caused the death of an innocent bystander, the warring Adepti stopped fighting and pooled their collective power together in an attempt to restore her life. The resurrection worked but the sheer amount of power within her was too much to control and she went berserk, causing great destruction. Eventually, to put a halt to this, Mountain Shaper (one of the Jueyun Karst Adepti) had to seal her within amber, where she lay dormant until recently, when she broke out but with amnesia, only remembering the herb picking part of her former life. Baizhu found and adopted her as an assistant and now she works in Bubu Pharmacy.

Traveller was going beast mode with just 3 Adepti buffs (Ganyu, Xiao and Madame Ping), just imagine how powerful Qiqi would have been with god only knows how many Adepti buffs she got? Secondly, the place where she was sealed was that one mountain in Jueyun Karst where there is amber visible at the top. And no, I don't mean one of those random amber clots that you can break to get chests or enemies inside. Her prison was the mountain itself, meaning it took an entire mountain worth of amber to keep her immobilized. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Qiqi is legit stupid OP at full power. To the point that I'd genuinely believe she'd stomp FLT Childe.

I wonder if there's a clear calculation about lightning timing in rain and storms for the Genshin Impact or similar and if it's possible to be usable for a calculation since Beidou is famed for being able to dodge and parry lightning. Albeit, this could also be cloud to ground lightning.

Found a potential Mondstadt feat. During Klee's SQ we had people discussing who could be the strongest fighter in Mondstadt, and the notable answers were Jean, the Darknight Hero (Diluc), Stanley and Klee. But we shouldn't forget that Cyrus is a famous figure in Mondstadt for having slain dragons in the past, yet he wasn't considered.

Jean's reason for consideration was for her fodderizing Ruin Guards, so would this make Ruin Guards significantly more dangerous than dragons?

Also wondering why we haven't gotten to actually making profiles yet. I'm pretty sure we have everything we need already.

We have a solid base tier of 7-B with the Razor and Lisa storm calcs. We have a rough chain for the story participants and plenty of background lore for the others. We have a good idea of the basic abilities possessed by all Allogenes, like transforming into their respective elements, making elemental shields, etc. Pretty sure we can get to making everyone's profiles. I know some people have called dibs on who makes which ones too, like Fischl and Lisa.

And before anyone doubts the validity of the storm feat, Razor's dialogue about Lisa flat-out confirms that she blackens the sky with clouds with her power.

Aether was OP but it was against Fatui soldiers, who are fodder even compared to his Base

We don't know if the current Adepti are as strong as the Adepti from the past. After all, Barbatos and Morax are not strong in the present day

We also don't know how much power the Adepti actually gave Aether

So we don't know how strong he ended up being
