In later incarnations yes. But Chunnin Exams Gaara doesn't showcase superior AP to wrestle away her control or better precision than Toph

Toph's attack and reaction speed scales to Zuko, Aang, Azula and Iroh's lightning reaction feats (which you can also see in the profile).
This is not movement speed. And also ALL speeds are equalized, including Toph and Gaara's attack speed, and considering this Gaara's attack speed is slower than Toph's, he ain't outspeeding her at all

Toph doesn’t has better control over sand than Gaara. Her Ba Sing Se replica is impressive indeed, but it doesn’t compares to Gaara creating sand clones nor a functional third eye made entirely out of sand.

Why are we acting as if Toph can only control sand? She can control all kinds of earth, giving her a large environmental advantage. Even if her control of sand isn’t as good as his, her controlling his sand would definitely take Gaara off guard at first. She can turn his sand into stone to use to her advantage, and let’s not forget she also has metal bending, which is something that’s far stronger than her regular earth bending. With her already having the higher AP, adding metal armor to that would give Gaara a huge run for his money, especially if she manages to get up close and physical, which wouldn’t be too good for Gaara because she’s rather skilled in martial arts. But Gaara? In this key he’s not really good at taijutsu at all.
I just want people to keep these factors in mind because not much is known about Toph.

I don’t think anyone is. This is about Toph Sandbeding Gaara's sand.
Toph AP advantage as it is is less than a X2, without taking into account that she scales to or is superior to EoS Aang, whereas Gaara's scaling chain involves him being superior to someone who effortlessly defeated a stronger version of the one who performed the original feat. The gap isn’t that big.

If you watch a frame by frame Iroh did the equivalent of a muscle twitch when the lightning bolt hit him. Its definitely not a MHS+ showing.

Wdym she would make it even more difficult? Also who says she's not as good at bending it? Her power is greater, so she'd be able to wrestle control from him. And he's restricted to 8-B, so no Shukaku

He gets the partial transformation. Also he's shown better control with sand through feats. Her higher AP doesn't come from manipulating sand.
