Well, I gues I'll sum up the already summarized backstory. (Astyana)

  • Born into war
  • Only ever gets used by others, giving her an unhealthy urge of wanting to be "useful", to not be left alone.
  • Her father dies and she watched him getting dragged across the ground by a chariot.
  • She and her mother were betrayed and left behind as a decoy during the invasion of the city.
  • Her mother received an arrow into the back of her head while they tried to escape town. She fell over and covered Astyana where she then stayed for the next couple of days.
  • Due to her intense hunger she decided to get up and look for food. The only edible thing left were the corpses of the deceased. Everything else was burned.
  • After a few days the corpses started rotting. The only one that didn't was the corpse of the person that killed her father. She didn't wanted to feel indepted to him, so she ate the rotting corpses instead.
  • After severe vomitting and diarrhea and being on the brink of death, she chose to eat him anyways.
  • While doing so a man passed by and pulled out her mother's soul from her corpse. The soul, as if alive, screamed and begged for mercy, but ultimately got stowed away. Astyana was too weak to help her. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't stop eating.
  • The days went by and she completely lost her appetite, while also feeling something on her back pushing against her clothes. When taking a look at herself at the ocean, she had a wing and a broken halo, just like the person who killed her father.
  • In desperation she tried ripping out the wing, but it simply regrew. When trying to kill herself she couldn't pierce her skin.
  • She wandered through the lands. Although she didn't truly become hungry, not eating anything left her in a state like a drug addict on withdrawl.
  • One day her urges grew too strong and she ate and killed two demigods. This was the first time her wings and halo disappeared. While eating them she wasn't "quite there", but was horribly shocked at what she did afterwards.
  • When the Roman Empire conquored Greece, she was taken in as a slave and sold to a rich merchant.
  • She there made friends with the other slaves, but was also used as a... u know... um... a slave very close to the merchant >. > they did a lot of messed up stuff with her, since she simply wouldn't die. Although they did that to her, she was "happy", since she felt needed.
  • One day her hunger overcame her yet again and she ate everyone at the Mansion, including her friends. This time however she was completely clear. Although she hated what she was doing, she simply enjoyed it way too much to stop. Eating them from bottom to top, she got off on their screams and begs for mercy, while the others had to watch with broken bones, realizing what was about to happen to them as well.
  • Afterwards she decided to "eat" on a regular basis to ensure she won't lose control like that again.
  • She joined the army and after a finished battle she feasted on the corpses during nightfall.
  • Her eating all these people had a rather negative effect on her. With every person she ate, she added a soul to her body. Each and every soul was fighting for dominance within her body, continuously eaxhausting her. To regain her stamina and ability to fight them off, she required more souls, putting her into an endless cycle of eating.
  • If she was to ever stop eating and was to lose against the souls, her body would mutatae into a hideous, mindless creature that knows nothing but feasting and destruction. Due tue her urge of "being needed", she chose to make it her lifes purpose to stop that from happening.
  • Over the next couple of centuries she tried various ways of killing herself. This includes strangulation, burning, freezing, catchnig different diseases and even petrification by stealing Medusas head. None of them worked. (There does happen more stuff, but it doesn't make much sense without me giving loads of context and it doesn't add all that much to the huggable factor. The only thing I can think of this that she found the (even more) dead and clearly, previously tourchered soul of her mother in a messed up laboratory.)
  • Once her mind left the physical realm, she tried reshaping time, by killing her young self in many various shapes and forms. Although she received those memories, she didn't actually change herself, since she already existed at a point where time holds very little meaning to her. (1-A)
  • Over all these centuries and even millenia her mind slowly faded away. The only thing she knew was to eat.
  • When she reached "the layer beyond meaning" and her self started to fade, she chose to stay the way she is, rather than redefining her entire existance and finally ending her suffering. She did so because if she was to stop the souls from trying to take over her mind, she would lose her purpose and would be useless yet again.
  • From there on her mind slowly stabilized bit by bit, although her morals and sense of jusdgment were slightly screwed up.
  • When she met the protagonist and realized she also had a "blessing" from a godly being, she tried killing her to give her "salvation" and to ensure she won't suffer a similar fate.
  • When she saw the secondary protagonist, who rushed in to help, she completely lost it, since it was the guy who removed her mother's soul when she was a child.
  • Unable to contol herself she slowly turned into previously mentioned creature.
  • In the end she got killed of (Existance Erased) by the secondary protagonist. This was the first time she found true happyness.
  • The reader only learnes of her backstory after she dies. The story is narrated by the protagonist up untill that point, portraying her as a crazy, murderous terrorist group leading lunatic.
  • Random fact I didn't know how to add: After getting her immortality she also gained a "saint's flame", which makes the user feel as if their entire existance was being torn appart. Over the millenia she gained many more such flames, severly increasing her suffering.
I think that's it... I hope.

I could really do with a hug r
