Force fields are useless, Bill have to activate them first plus Bill almost never uses them unless he's in a prolonged battle (as we see in his fight against stardust) or to protect someone/something that is much weaker than him, plus being a Cyborg just puts him at a disadvantage against The master of technology

Bill has the experience, yes, but being more skilled does not mean that one can overcome someone, who can destroy you and steal part of you power.
