Elden Ring General Discussion

In the end are we not all Larpers of Fromsoftware? I mean how many of us have played their true magnum opus: 'The Adventures of Cookie & Cream'?

By the way, how do we treat a Nightlord's Everdark Sovereign version? Would it be a separate key, or do we treat it as a part of their base since it's technically their phase 3?

I believe we treat it as a separate key, as we can't fight all 3 phases (I wish we could) in one go, and it instead requires a unique Expedition. I think there was lore for it aswell but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Definitely separate Keys.

I see, so a Nightlord with a Raid version would have 3 keys while those without one(aside from Heolstor) would have 2 keys, is that right?

I finished Gladius' profile
This seems good for the most part if we just want a profile up. At some point when I get to Nightreign proper I have to look at all the item descriptions to find all the general abilities for Nightlords, but for the most part this is fine. A few notes though:

  • All versions should get multiple selves. While the Sundered Tricephalos version is naturally split, they are still connected as one entity.
  • I would maybe remove enhanced senses? Unless base elden ring has something about the tracking ability of wolves, it usually isn't great practice to automatically apply EVERY ability some natural animals get to fantasy counterparts, especially when it isn't displayed.
  • Tiering is fine, but I think it could maybe be reworded to not downplay the raid version. Those versions of the bosses are definitely weaker, but listing them as "At Most" at the level of demigods like Morgott is a bit extreme since Gladius is still definitely stronger than him.
  • Class T LS is reserved for Everdark Sovereign Nightlords currently

Only major issue I'm seeing is he needs to be Class T
Added it
Better to add scrolls for the tabbers and get proper renders.
The tabs really aren't large enough for a scroller, but I can add it to the P&A.

Heolstor has nothing to render to my knowledge. You'd have to take the model, pose it, and then remove the background.

Looks really good! Though for the range I think its one nuke attack in the everdark sovreign fight has the fissures go out for like a hundred meters or so, even outside the playable space. That and for sundered tricephalos I think the status effect inducement is caused by Gladius heating up the map, dunno if the wiki has anything specifically for temperature increasing and decreasing to large areas but if there is I'd recommend adding it to that key.

Ok I'll make a CRT to remove that.

Ok will do.

So only the 3rd key would have Class T, ok got it.

Really? It seemed to me like the explosion would only go up to a 100 meters at most.

Yeah I did consider that but I wasn't sure about it since neither it's boss version nor it's Evedark version do anything similar to that, so I just went with Status Effect Inducement instead.

It would be temperature manipulation, but status effect is fine to go along with it since that's the intended effect.

In terms of the explosion, if you want to say it's the whole island of the Nightlord's arena then it's hundreds of meters (specifically 666.832443078 meters)

Alright, I'm back from my Dark Souls II playthrough, so I feel a bit more confident on writing the DS2 pages for Duke's Dear Freyja and Smelter Demon that can eventually be altered for their Nightreign iterations.

With that in mind, I need an answers to some things. Do you all think Frejya should get Summoning and/or Animal Manipulation considering her children attack you uring the fight? And do you think she should get Immortality due to either possible longevity or the fact that she can survive without one of her two heads?

If memory serves, you can sever both of the heads in DS2 (not sure about nightreign) so I, personally, am inclined to say yes to the Immortality.

It would just be animal manip. In terms of immortality, I guess type 2 seems fine but I also don't know how we treat immortality for beings that follow similar biology. It's hard to call losing a head a fatal injury when she possesses another one. I also haven't played DS2 fully yet, so I may not be the best resource. I would say go talk in the Fromsoft or Dark Souls general discussion thread if there is one.

In terms of Nightreign though, like I wrote when we made the CRT, Dark Souls is in such a horrible position on the wiki that I don't think we should even consider it rn. Let alone the fact that the scaling/powers and abilities have no basis in being transferable between the two verses, but also cause Dark Souls itself is probably the second most outdated souls verse on the wiki. The only thing worse is Demon's Souls which probably hasn't been touched since it was added to the wiki when the fandom was made probably. Dark Souls is another Elden Ring sized project, and considering I'm already dealing with the latter its kind of out of my hands right now.

My apologies.
Lol all good, that was mostly a joke. I am losing my mind rn though. I genuinely cna't believe its real.

I will say as well, wwith all these adaptations of old fromsoft IPs, I recommend people go back to the old discussion threads and start breathing new life into them. Feel free to ping me in them too, since I don't remember if I have notifs for all of them on.
