Is there a reason why we don't scale Guts' arm cannon at the end of the Golden Age to the arm cannon in the Black Swordsman arc? It's quite literally the same weapon, in fact, it's likely even stronger, as it had a bit to much gunpowder at the time and straight up dislocated Guts shoulder when he used the thing, something that stops happening immediately after, probably due to cutting back on the amount of powder. But even without that, it's quite literally the same weapon, it doesn't get any stronger as the story goes on. If it's 8-A later on, it's 8-A there too.
To further that, there's also the Dragon Slayer, the "higher" rating seems to fail to get across just how much harder Guts hits with the thing then he does prior, completely one shotting apostles that could kick his ass before hand, and not even a small one shot, complete bisection and dismembered with a single casual swing, while it's true his own physical durability seemed to have increased as time went on, and his strength as well to a degree, it's not by like a 300x jump to when he hit 8-A , the biggest jump is when he obtained the blade itself, and then from there on he went on his quest to kill apostles like a few days later, who all tend to vary between varying amounts of 8-A (as in, in their apostle form, not human).
In which he killed numerous.
If were going to give Guts the Dragon Slayer in the Golden Age, that shit's likely 8-A, for going on to kill numerous 8-A's, without any huge increase to Guts own strength.
Golden Age Dragon Slayer Guts, something like "Likely 8-A", "possibly 8-A" or "far higher" would be far more accurate. Because treating the shit as if it's 9-A is actually stupid and completely wrong and goes against every single piece of evidence, event and the like regarding Guts with the thing.
