Narratively it makes sense but has gotten repetitive.
Its either that or have Roshi fight 3-As.(Am I the only one a little salty Roshi wont get the screen time he deserves if this happens?)

That part's interesting but c'mon 8+ times bringing back the same old villian? It's ridiculous and redundant, even by Dragon Ball standards. And it's not like there's no other villain in DB that could make for interesting stories.

@Ryu Everyone from DB is good. Vegeta, the androids and Buu are good.
Unless they wanted Zamasu back, the only other option is Cell and going by Super's powerscaling hes weaker than Roshi.

But even then, I still think all this Frieza returns stuff is getting very repetitive and cheapening the impact of his original appearance. Also I'm not talking about returning a villain for this tournament. I meant returning other villians in the story in general as opposed to Frieza.

I agree its repetitive but wut are we gonna do. I will say this though, Frieza working with the Z-fighters has the biggest impact out of any villain.
Also thinking about it I think Raditz would have worked if there wasnt so many Saiyans as is and they found a decent way to make him relevant.

If Frieza is back again then Frost shouldn't be a thing. Just more reasons for people to claim repetative and recycled characters when you've got both of them side by side, maybe if Frost was good like we originally thought I could stand him. While I would have prefered Cell, it will be interesting to see Goku and Frieza having to work together.

I love this, Frieza on the team makes so much sense! Of course, if you wanna go by pure strength Cell would be another great choice for the match since he's obviously still stronger than Krillin, Tien & 18. Also, Zamasu isn't from U7, he can't join them.

I honestly wouldn't want Frieza to come back yet again. Part of the reason is because, it's just plain ridiculous that he would come back for the 3rd or so time, and the other part of it is, I have a bias towards Cell and I rather it be him (fat chance, I know).
Also, I doubt Zamasu would work. 1. He's from Universe 10, 2. He's a Shinjin, and I don't think they're allowed to compete. Otherwise, they would get Supreme Kai or Kabito to compete. 3. I doubt he would even cooperate. Yes, even less likely than Frieza. He'd probably be in favor of Zeno's plans.
