So since I'm really behind on DBS right now, anyone mind explaining where all this talk of Frieza comes from?

I don't see the problem with Frieza joining, makes sense to me. Buu sleeping sucks but what're you gonna do? I don't understand why you guys gotta throw multiple paragraph long fits over this.

I'm personally fine with Frieza returning. Maybe because I haven't played any of the games. We seem to be in the minority here.

I'm honestly rather looking forward to that.

It's going to be a new thing seeing Frieza play the hero and fight for the universe he's dominated for all his life, and interact with Goku and Vegeta as someone other than an enemy needing to be fought.

and 24 hours of life for Frieza makes no sense, that gives him even less incentive to join....

Maybe they'll just lie to him and tell him he gets to come back to life. But unbeknownst to him, it's only for 24 hours.

Couldn't care less about cell although using him would make more sense than frieza yeah , still i don't see how frieza would fit into this , he hate Goku's guts and look at the others as scums and in return everyone hate him except for Goku that would make terrible team work + also the whole thing you can't kill in the tournament this doesn't work with Frieza he will most likely kills 90% of the competitors

also from what we saw in Z the 24 hours thing limit your power and make you disappear much earlier using Golden form maybe overkilling

Still i want to see his meeting with frost and how he will teach him what a true evil emperor is

Frieza coming back is probably the most logical thing from a story standpoint but not from a writing standpoint. It makes sense they bring back the most one of the most powerful characters to the tournament. If it hadn't been done in RoF no body would have bat an eye. Sure im pissed about what they did to Buu but im not up in arms about it.

For people saying Cell would have been a better choice, I completely disagree with you. Cell is part saiyan so him agreeing to fight in a tournament full of strong guys doesnt have the same impact as Frieza agreeing since Frieza doesnt enjoy fighting and despises the Z-Fighters, and vice versa, where as Cell is just kinda of an asshole. Not to mention Frieza is literally stronger so unless u want bad writing stacked on bad writing Cell is literally the weakest member of the team.

I also dont understand why people are upset about a character coming back from the dead in a series where death never had consequences in the first place. The protagonist has died 2 times now, thats the same as Frieza.

If I were writing Super, in the RoF I just would have just let Frieza escape instead of killing him so no one would go bat shit crazy when he comes back.

Again, there is the concept of the creator of the Cell Games now having to fight in a tournament for his own life that many find interesting.

And while Cell does love to fight, he still isn't by any means at all on good terms with Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, the Androids, Gohan, etc. So there'd still be that tension similar to what Frieza having to work with Goku would have. Arguably even more so in more interesting and diverse ways.

Also the whole "Frieza's stronger than Cell" doesn't really work when Roshi and Tien are in this tournament instead of Goten and Trunks. As well as everyone in their mother is getting a power boost. With Cell being the one where a power boost would make the most amount of sense.

Frieza may've only been revived 2 going on 3 times in canon, but we've seen this "Frieza's Return!" thing 8+ times now. In my and others' opinions it's getting old and repetitive. Even by Dragon Ball standards.

I don't think anyone care about the fact that frieza is stronger than cell , they can asspull something with him like they did with everyone , the writing of DBS is already tragedy so it doesn't matter

Plot twice incoming, Frieza says no. Cell offers to go after sneaking into the conversation or Goku offers him an invite. How to get Cell stronger? Mmm. I know. Have Cell be the weakess, gets destroy a lot in the tournament +Regenerationn + Saiyan Zenkai Boost and he will eventually get stronger.

We have confirmation of frieza been in episode 93. We don't have confirmation of him been in the tournament. We have confirmation of the title "!?" and their plan to use Baba to bring him back 24 hours. Nothing more.

New spoilers for ep 91:Zenos are bored and immediatly wants to start the tournament but the Daishinkan advises against it because he understands the universes trouble gathering fighters
