Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

We have to be thankful that most DB games are good.

Seriously, that JJK game and this new HxH game look horrible. Not counting the older ones like OPM.

Meanwhile we have Xenoverse, Fighter Z, Kakarot and the new budokai tenkaichi looks incredible.
Afaik, DB is on the Top 5 of most profitable fighting game franchises of all time

Is this an official DB info book?

lol, i know someone who will be happy to see this scan here

It is from the manual of a DBZ game that was supposedly made according to Toryiama´s ideas

But i don´t think it would upgrade the cosmology tbh

Dragon Ball Z: The Anime Adventure Game, a tabletop roleplaying game, published by R. Talsorian Games (the Cyberpunk guys), and written almost exclusively by Mike Pondsmith (the Cyberpunk guy) (with material adapted from Cindy Fukunaga of Funimation Productions).

The reason terms like "Next Dimension" and "Home For Infinite Losers" are used is because the book was published in 1999, during a time period in which the only English dub of the first sixty-eight episodes (up until Goku defeats Jeice and Burter) was the Ocean dub.

also Dragon Ball Z's "Hades" that term was only ever used to refer to Hell in the ocean dub as far as I remember

This is one of the most emotional and impactful moments in Dragon Ball, seeing Vegeta encourage Goku to embrace his Saiyan heritage and emphasizing the sheer evil that was Frieza nearly driving the Saiyans is something that is rarely discussed by DB fans. It's instances like this that show that, no matter what has come after it or how popular it is, Dragon Ball will always remain at the top

Being able to see who liked my or other people's posts is so helpful for pattern recognition. I can see who obviously read all of my posts, but only liked the ones that were favorable towards the stuff they liked.

Bro you ain't slick 💀 you don't get to complain about people's preconceived notion of you when you do that

So I tried out that Sand Land game that just came out recently, from my perspective, it's okay honestly. Like it's not going to wow or amaze anyone, let alone do anything that hasn't been done before by other Action RPGs and better, but I think it's serviceable enough to be entertaining and if you like Toriyama's works outside of DB then you might enjoy it.

But yeah I don't have a lot to say about the game and, come to think of it, I'd rather stick to DBZ Kakarot

I've been wondering shouldn't everyone in DB technically have non-combat applicable Type 4 Immortality?
No, this is only if they do it themselves iirc, not brought back by someone else

I mean like if a character we know dies they keep their body and this is true for like a lot of characters
This isn't neither resurrection nor reincarnation, they are still dead, I am not sure what vsbattle perk this gives tbh
