we don’t know the actual distance from earth to namek, earth being at the edge of its quadrant and namek being in a different one doesn’t imply anything about their relative positions to eachother in space.

If namek is a significant % of the universe radius away from earth then the timeframe of travel from different space pods create heavy contradictions with one another as they are capped by Vegeta and Nappa taking 1 year to get to earth.
