Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

I read a bunch of Dragon Ball fanfics with the summary that looks very bad, but the story actually looks pretty cool.

So It could be a fine series.

At the very least, he scales above Pre-Turtle School Goku.

It was stated by leakers that it will be top quality animation but they also stated each episode will be 30-40 minutes in length. So it's more like 25 episodes with top tier animation.

There are people like King Chappa and Nam that actually have superhuman feats.

The best feat we have to measure Mr. Satan's strength is the fact that he won a World Tournament but that's not saying much because the fighters involved were weak compared to those during the 21° to 23° World Tournaments.

I think a possibly 8-B would work best, we don't know if he's stronger than previous martial artists or not but there's solid evidence for and against.

Okay so, where did Ultima prove this? He made a hasty generalization by looking at a few sample cases, but that’s just flawed reasoning. How can he prove this conjecture holds true for the 4th and 5th dimensions as well. Must it always hold true for any nth and (n+1)th dimension? He should either prove the 5h dimensional case, or prove the general case and the apply it everywhere. He did neither.

Do this in a Linear Algebra class and you’ll get laughed at by the entire batch

Seems like a huge stretch for sure.

Besides, we don't know why the Ultra Divine Water would have killed Goku, the claim that it's a strong poison is literally an assumption that was never suggested as far as I recall, besides Yajirobe saying it because he tasted it on his finger and was hurt by it. Iirc there was only some flowery nonsense about purity and honor or whatever. Goku's poison resistance should be a "possibly" or "likely" tbh.

Wasn't it already common knowledge that Hercule was a bit of a beast among regular humans that didn't know of Ki?

What in particular is being argued about him atm? He's probably comparable to most of the fodder tournament goers in the 23rd Budokai, but inferior to any of the more noteable characters like Nam. He isn't even as strong as start of series Goku. Goku in the first chapter of the manga literally eats several handgun bullets and regards them as stinging, then proceeds to lift a whole ass car and throw it with moderate effort. Hercule was driven to the brink of death by a single handgun round and was practically pissing himself pulling a few busses on a chain, which is significantly easier than deadass lifting a whole car over your head.

Besides, considering all of the other superhuman characters that attended the tournaments in OG Dragon Ball, Hercule's titles clearly only apply to the generation of fighters that were around when he was champion, who weren't on the same level as the tournament fighters around when Goku and co. were still at that stage. Idk if humans in Dragon Ball just devolved or something but yeah nah the guys he was going up against weren't very incomparable to irl people from the looks of it. Hercule is superhuman by our standards but even by normal humans in Dragon Ball he ain't that crazy. Wall level with subsonic speed is his peak.

One is LS the other is just guns being busted in fiction
Goku is stated to have a "body of steel" which allows him to tank bullets with ease. Whereas Satan is still considered a normal human
 
Show me the chapter where Hercule was outrunning a sprinting cheetah, crushing a boulder with a bear hug, lifting and throwing a car, throwing a huge piece of wood into the sky and then shattering it into perfect logs with a kick, blitzing and one-shotting a giant fish, tanking handgun rounds, carrying a sea turtle across 100 kilometers without any exhaustion while easily curb-stomping a house-sized monster thing with a giant sword, and tanking an attack that sends him through several stone pillars while weakened. In reality Hercuie's best feats are barely superhuman, have been done or even surpassed irl, and he was insta-killed by a regular bullet. He's like, bear level with some decent speed. Even if we include gag feats he's still inferior (disregarding Pilaf Saga Goku's own gag feats obv).
