Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

We should update Granolah and Gas, Vegeta and Goku's profiles now

Because Goku and Vegeta are stronger then they were at the start of the arc and Gas needs new keys for each state he is in and possibly new powers that aren't on his profile + updating their before wish states to being stronger then the Ginyu force as stated by toyo

As for Granolah he needs the fact he has a scouter in his goggle and gas needs wind manipulation and add a new weakness to him, also both need universe range via scaling above Goku and Vegeta
Also Gas needs type 2 immortality

So how do we take how Strong Gohan Beats is factoring the Anime and Manag
according to piccolo , Gohan can be the strongest out of everyone on earth.

The Movie Continuity is weird cuz it has to be after Moro Arc because Gohan didnt get a new form until then and also after Granolah arc cuz thats when Broly is seen on Beerus's planet.

Super Hero was made as a sequel to Broly in mind, and was stated to follow the anime continuity more so.

If the statements by Toriyama are taken seriously, then Cell Max>Broly.

Where do Goku and Vegeta’s forms fit into all of this?
It's hard to say and I don't know if it's in the english translation, but in the jp spoilers all those months ago, Gohan wondered if Goku and Vegeta could defeat Cell Max, which means he's not completely certain they could have beat Cell Max. And the last time he witnessed their full power was back in the end of the ToP. So even he isn't certain that ToP MUI Goku's power would be enough to beat Cell Max.

According to Toriyama, the man who wrote the damn thing, Cell Max was designed to be even more powerful than Broly and would have been an unstoppable opponent if he was properly controlled. Outside of that, the only concrete scaling to the other heavy hitters of Universe 7 are summaries of the film stating that Gammas 1 and 2 are the strongest Red Ribbon Army Androids, which would include Android 17.

Ok, lemme share my thoughts on the newest DBS chapter. It's ******* crazy! I really wasn't expecting things to turn out this way. Frieza suddenly just enters the game and unveils a new badass transformation which puts everyone else there to shame. Not only that, but he shows that he's also a master manipulator who'd known about Elec's plans to get rid of him all along and lNow it looks like he's finally getting some of his former glory back, when he was the absolute strongest being in the universe and feared as the undefeatable emperor of Universe 7.

It's interesting the way they introduced the concept of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber dimension being accessible in different parts of Universe 7. Honestly, I wish they used this concept for Frieza back in the Resurrection F' movie. There, he was able to enter the domain of the gods by training just for four months, which is a large stretch even for Frieza despite being a prodigy mutant with untapped potential, but here he had to train ten years to attain a new form, which makes much more sense. Like if they'd introduced the room as something which Frieza was already aware of but never felt like using because there was no need for it. Nevertheless, I'm still happy to see where this new plot will go and what kind of threat Frieza will be to the rest of the universe.

I'm also wondering if the DBS anime will ever return and adapt the new manga arcs, or if a separate timeline is going to be established for the new DB movies.

Do note that Toriyama stated that Cell Max would be above Broly had he been completed, which implies the level of power we saw him at is weaker than Broly's.

He is, of course, almost outright stated to be stronger than Goku and Vegeta, presumably in their Super Saiyan Blue forms (I doubt Toriyama was considering SSB Kaioken x20 and Evolution, creative at Toei made those iirc)
Cell Max was completed! He lacked only the mind control program... Why not UI? Ultimate Gohan is already on par with Blue. Toriyama likely considers Goku's full strength.

Anyway, the Manga and Anime will have the Super Hero Arc so in the Gohan will end up at the top of the scaling chain regardless...

1. The only thing that Hedo said is that Cell Max wouldn't be under his control if activated at that point. Toriyama says that Cell Max wasn't completed according to plan and directly implied what we saw of him wasn't his true potential

2. Ultimate Gohan isn't on par with post-ToP Blue, especially not after Goku got three massive zenkai boosts
