Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

.....how can something without SPACE have spatial measuraments to be infinite?

Legit question
Hey, we are in the anime multiverse where everything becomes reality, there are infinite voids even though there is no matter, we work with that here

The void is also not really just a void, it is a dimension outside of the 12 Universes.

Four things:

First one:
Im not sure whats more tasty ... when Goku throwed that KI-attack against Vegeta which just was a set-up for a perfectly thrown gazelle hook or how Broly adjusted his headhunting approach against Vegeta and started targeting the body instead. The latter is more delicious ... yummy.

Since folks are using "rEaL wOrlD" to downplay Goku in such a ridiculous way, lets give my man Broly some props: Guys with Brolys physcials/power are known for head hunting when they are in a bad situation be it through a) opponents better skill-setor b) opponent showing zero respect for your power. The fact he adjusted so fast mid-fight, just speaks volumes for Brolys talent in close quarter fights.

No novel, no Vegeta statements needed like many modern works ... just watch that movie and its clear as day it was authors intent to showcase Brolys great adaptability. He was still a baby by fighting standards going up against the two most powerful/skilled mortals.

Hes a slugger ... a very, very mean one but what I witnessed is a talented slugger who adjusted to the art of throwing hands and few moments later added a defence into his arsenal. And then he showed some respect to KI-control.

I think I will rewatch it frame by frame since theres a lot of jummy stuff and once my reddit account is old enough for that shiti rant section, there will be some fire.

Second one:

I love UI in stats equal matches since you are basically fighting against two martial artists and how it corrects Gokus fighting-character. Dont get me wrong, I love Gokus mindset when it comes to fighting but battleboarding-wise, it aint good and one of Gokus best traits like fighting pace, timing and creative set ups cant truly shine. Sometimes he forgets he has excellent head movement, paired with defensive footwork ...

Thanks god we got Ultra Instinct ... so no idea why it gets so much hate.

Third one:

Making the waves get stronger the further they went is the best IQ feat in all of fiction for two good reasons:

1. It disproves the whole idea that Goku is just a dumb fighter who doesnt care about his surroundings.
2. Put the downplayers on their ass who said KI control aint a thing and they cant control their output.

This feat destroyed one of most discussed topics in battleboarding ... or better it should have but they keep ignoring it.

Fourth one:

DB fans eat good ... happy new year and hopefully, the food this year is just as good.

Guys does resisting Hakai allows you to resist soul damage?
You resist Soul erasure. I don’t know if that qualifies as “Soul Damage,” though. Erasure typically ignores durability, so resisting it isn’t equivalent to say, resisting physical attacks/blunt force trauma. The same likely applies to Souls, considering the multitude of series that treat Souls as if they have their own durability. Think of it as similar to the separation of being able to hit/damage Souls and Soul Manipulation.

It was mentioned in the profiles that resisting Hakai gives you resists to soul destruction (which is also damage as a lot of people claim) https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Beerus

damage, but that is one thing, and another thing is that they manipulate your soul, or consume it, that is not avoidable (or that they remove the soul from your body)

"Damaging" depends, could they resist their souls getting EE'd? yes. Could they resist someone literally punching their soul until it breaks? no. Both are far too different to say it would work, haxes applications are vary varied and vast

In the anime we see that hakai can be regulated to non EE on a person, as toppo shows when he hits Frieza

So it appears they resist both erasure and damage with it, but not other esoteric forms of soul Manip

So would all dragon ball super characters would die to an average Soul reaper's soul crush from bleach? Since they have no resists to soul damage

yes but they can still be damaged in the soul, or they can be removed from their soul, or their soul can be consumed.

Akio Iyoku (a big name in manga publication, he's an experienced editor) recently had a little talk show where he implied that more Dragon Ball content is POSSIBLY on the way. When asked if there'd be more Dragon Ball content after Daima, he said there might be more announcements coming this year. Which is pretty big.

Tbf, it is well within expectation that there gonna be new DB contents. No way they going to let a big IP like DB rest even after Akira passing, and no disrespect for Akira, but after his passing, Shueisa definitely push for more contents since they have more creative freedom now

Now nothing will stop the Toei wank
