Meeeeeh. The Original Manga, yeah, (and if you suspend your belief by saying Goku going to Moon was simply too fast to count, the Demon Realm has oxygen, etc.), but in basically every game, (FighterZ, XV1-2, Raging Blast 1-2, BT1-3, etc.), Toei (Z, GT, Super Anime, and if you want to count the adaptation of Moon moment in OG, that too), the popular spinoffs, (Online, Heroes, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, the upcoming Divers), the Super Manga, etc. it’s basically almost always ignored. Either in the form of stages, (Space is typically a reoccurring one, where they fight on a barren asteroid, and everyone can fight there despite their race, such as the Humans, albeit not plot relevant), actually plot-connected and thus a major inconsistency (basically anything Time Patrol/Heroes related), some combination of these two, due to just being extended canon of an adaptation, (Z Anime Filler, the Films, GT), or literally being canon and not making any sense (Goku in both continuities is able to exist perfectly fine in the Erased Timeline that lacks oxygen). And that’s just off the top of my head. If anything, it’s the opposite.
(This also isn’t including how Goku, Vegeta, and Broly were going to fight in the surface of the Sun in DBS: Broly, but it was cut solely for time. Which has all sorts of implications we just aren’t going to get into.) The only time I can think of where it’s actually and actively brought up outside of the Original Series is in the Super Manga against Moro (which has the Erased Timeline sequence, so incredibly inconsistent), but also whilst Goku and Vegeta were seemingly, at least visually, beyond any atmosphere (even though they canonically weren’t. Similar to how BoGs calls the battle in space the Stratosphere, {and canonically is}, but logically they’d be in at least the Mesosphere or Exosphere.)
