Im surprised I didn't see this thread earlier because, despite my love for Pokemon I do really like Digimon, I think it has the better anime ^_^
 
I also like Sakuyamon X's design as well.

It's also nice to see that her......assets increased as well.

Have you played any of the Digimon games like Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory?
 
I have played Cyber Sleuth but it's been a while and I don't think I got that far, most of my Digimon gaming experience comes from the Digimon world series, which were some of my first games.
 
New Digimon Profiles

Dracomon X-Antibody: Its wings have developed further, allowing it to fly for short periods of time. However, its wings have in fact been specialised not for flight, but for offense. By having its wings be relocated to its arms, it is now able to use them to whip up a gust in the direction it is facing, allowing its "Baby Blaze", in which it spews out flames from its mouth, to be carried by the wind and cover a wider range when attacking. Not only that, in order to let out the excess heat generated within its body by the X-Antibody, the horns on its head have taken on the function of releasing heat and are thus of a super-high temperature. The power displayed by its "Smash Horn" move, in which it charges at the enemy with its high temperature horns, appears to greatly surpass what a Child level should be capable of.

So Dracomon X-Antibody now can fly, wind manipulation and is stonger than the majority of Childs.

Renamon X-Antibody: Cloaked in an overflowing, bewitching aura, this dignified onmyoji is well-versed in the dark arts. Its additional tail as well as the red markings surfacing all over its body symbolise its newfound strength. It controls the battlefield with its cunning techniques, firing a spinning yin-yang attack that slices up all who come close (Taikyokusen [JP: Tai Chi Revolution]) and changing the texture of its surroundings, inviting the enemy into a world of illusions (Kochougen [JP: Fox-Butterfly Illusion]).

So now the Renamon shapeshifting power can control also the texture of the battlefield.

Tyranomon X-Antibody: The primeval data engraved into its Digicore has been drawn out, transforming it into a form which accentuates its fierce, dinosaur-like traits even more. Having gained more power and speed due to its increased muscle mass, Tyranomon has become harder to tame compared to before. The ridge along its back has grown to become beautifully transparent yet sturdy, just like gemstones, and can now even be used as a weapon. It has gained the Special Move "Crimson Breath", which is an upgraded version of its original "Fire Breath"; it is also able to curl its entire body up and rush forward at tremendous speed, slicing up any enemy that approaches with the ridge on its back (Crash Rolling).

BelleStarmon X: This beautiful gunman, whose large, black wings are its defining characteristic, now wields the smaller gun "Pepino [Spanish: Cucumber]" in addition to its "Rizoma de Loto [Spanish: Lotus Root]", which has been modified into a shotgun. Its physical abilities have improved, and it has also gained the shooting technique to ensure its bullets never miss no matter what pose or posture it shoots them from. The sight of it firing its guns while performing elegant, dance-like movements is so beautiful and exquisite that it is rumoured to be an art in and of itself. Its "Fly Bullet: Segundo [Spanish: Fly Bullet - Second]", which sports wings just like Beelstarmon itself, bolts across the battlefield endlessly in all directions and attacks with its unpredictable movements. As the enemy's attention is diverted by the Fly Bullet, Beelstarmon robs the enemy of their sight by shooting jet-black feathers from its wings and finishes them off with an invisible zero-distance shooting attack (Distancia Cero [Spanish: Zero Distance]).

The others don't have hax, but better fighting skills.

I find funny that even the guys from the new, still-unreleased games have profiles, yet Rina don't, even when she is stated to be stronger than Taiga (at least, before she gave him her powers during Decode's final battle).
 
Some Pendulum Artbook translations.

The artbook confirms that there is only a Jogress if the Digimon that is merging is of the same level, there is a level change and this change is to a higher level. It confirms that there is no Jogress between Digimon of the Ultimate level (Like Omegamon).

Jogress
  • The situation in which two Digimon of the same level merge and the level increases to a higher one is called Jogress Evolution ... Also, the Ultimates do not realize Jogress, but they "fuse" (Ex: Omegamon, etc).
 
Wait so...Mega Digimon don't Jogrees/Fuse...but they also "fuse"?
 
Jogress # Fusion. Every moment that two or more Digimon fuses they are... fusing (Gattai/Yugo). But if two Digimon of the same level fuses, and results in a Digimon of a higher level, it's called Jogress.

Before, Jogress and Fusion are the same thing. But now they are a different thing.

V-mon + Wormmon = Paildramon is a Jogress (That's a type of fusion)

WarGreymon + Metal Garurumon = Omegamon is a Fusion/Gattai/Yuugo (So, it isn't a Jogress)

Mugendramon + Chimairamon = Millenniumon is a Fusion not a Jogress (To be Jogress both of them should be in the same level).
 
Child, Adult, Perfect, Ultimate, Armor, etc. So two fusing and the result be of a higher level woulb like Child + Child = Adult or Perfect + Perfect = Ultimate. Ultimate is the highest so there's no way to two Ultimates fusing be a Jogress.

Main Story: 100% (There's a few things to do like put everything in the game, but all the text is already translated).


Sub-Quests: 80%


Menues (Cards, descriptions, everything): 80%

Graphics: 100%

Digitter: 90%

Do-RemiFA: 75%

Nearly everything done, about 85% finished. The Project must end in the first half of 2019.

Lost Evolution translation is in 40% and shouldn't be higher until they finished Decode. After that, the effort will be in Lost Evo.
 
the thing about fusion vs jogress has been confirmed for over a decade tbf, you cn even see this in the profiles. eg, omnimon says its a fusion between wargreymon and MGmon but paildramon says its a jogress of stingmon and exveemon


also in unverses where the super ultimate/ultra level exists, theyre jogress. eg, the ultra level omnimon in cyber sleuth is a jogress
 
And that infos already is in some old Digimon blogs. And it isn't that new. That is from about the XW era until now. In a lot of official materials it's said that Omegamon is a Jogress, the same about Chaosmon and now even RagnaLordmon is said to be a jogress (Even in the same book that says that Ultimates don't do Jogres...).

Anyway, the important thing is that is said that to be a Jogress, both Digimon should be in the same level and the result should be a Digimon with a higher level. There was a debate if Mille is a Jogress or nor, since Mugendra is a Ultimate while Chimaira is a Perfect, now it's clear that Mille isn't a Jogress.

Now I wonder if evenSilpymon isn't a Jogress, after all Tailmon is Adult while Hawkmon is a Child. Maybe it's a Jogress if Tailmon is without the Holy Ring and so it's a Child powerwise, while if Tailmon isn't, then it's just a Fusion.
 
You're gonna enjoy the official lore of jogress: it's one Digimon adsorbing another to level up Into their natural next stage. In the anime exveemon absorbs stingmon to become his natural ultimate stage paildramon. The other way around makes dinobeemon. Ex Veemon will still become paildramon even if he absorbs Angemon or togemon.

Don't believe me? This is literally explained and is part of Digimon adventure 2 tag Tamers and we then see Angemon absorb ankylomon to become magnaangemon. These games are canon to the anime. Greymon could absorb garurumon and it would make metalgreymon

Paildramon ow the natural form of anime Veemon. Before you say it doesn't make sense, Bandai retconned so they could be lazy. Wanna know more? This happens in old vpes too based on the show. That's why ankylo has vikemon he actually was just absorbing zudomon Shakkoumon to become vikemon. This same vpet has metalgreymon absorb metal garurumon to become wargreymon.

They join together to progress to the next level of the base digimons next stage. Millenniumon is a jogress because kimermon absorbs machinedramon to become his natural Mega level mill. Could've used piedmon or another perfect. All that matters is covering enegry

Want more sources? Xros wars manga has starmon 2010 use his pickmon to jogress to shootimgstarmon as he didn't have enough energy to digivolve on his own. He outright states this

You clearly haven't read the jogress page on either Wikimon or Digimon wiki. This stuff has been canon since 2001 starting in the womderswan the only difference being kimera absorbing a mega. However kimera was actually a mega in his debut in the wonder swan which is why it was done. Bandai lowered his level for the anime so that the 02 kids could kill him

Boltboutamon is a kid jogress as his debut has the Ultra level so piedmon absorbs myotismon to level to Ultra
 
Yes, I know lore and I did not need to read Wikimon or Digimon Wikia for this. I follow the franchise, from games, manga, anime, books and even the promotional pages of V-Jump about Digimon. I tried to translate materials that did not leave Japanese (I translated Digimon pages that have already been deleted, databooks, interviews, etc) and I wrote a lot of Digimon blogs on this Wikia, explaining much of the lore of the whole franchise that did not is usually found nowhere else (this content is used in other websites, with its own adaptations, precisely to spread this content that is rare).

I know a lot of Digimon and there is no reason for you to say otherwise. Everything I said, which I found interesting, was finally explaining one more detail about the Jogress. Until just before Xros Wars, there was never really a marked difference between using the term Fusion and Jogress, and this was something that Maekawa and Watanabe have already confirmed. In the past, it was the same thing. However the concept has changed over time, and now are different things. While there are old passages with consistency at this point, there are also old passages that contradict the present concept. And we already knew that, I myself was one of the first to translate the content of Mameo Digimon and Digital Monster Artbook that speak more about this, as well as the interview with Maekawa that confirmed that they were wanting to further divide the concepts of Fusion and Jogress.

The new information, which I found interesting, was the confirmation that to be a Jogress, the two Digimon need to be on the same level. This is interesting because there was debate whether or not Mille was a Jogress. Other than what you said, at Chimairamon's debut he was a Perfect (It debut was in Digital Monster Ver. WonderSwan and it's a Perfect. Later in St-21 it's also a perfect. There's no such thing as "It was nerf because of the anime", it has Always been a Perfect, just a few games -Like World 2 and Cathode/Anode says that it's a Ultimate, and this is only because of the game mechanics about this character) . Mugendramon was always Ultimate, and there was a debate about whether or not it was a Jogress. And in fact, it was something that even existed in the Japanese Fandom with many Japanese criticizing Bandai for modifying the concepts without necessity, causing discussions like this. The information is new and important, because it solves a debate that has emerged based on other information.

I know how the Jogress works, I've done blogs and texts talking about it. I just found it interesting that we now have one more detail about how the Jogress works and what sets it apart from a simple Fusion (Actually, so far it's just a semantic question).

fair enough on the v-pet, but the first place that had kimeramon and machinedramon fuse was the wondersawn game in which they made him a mega, meaning the anime version is a fusion. later media that have it is a jogress due to the ultimate level kimeramon. in fact, since I would assume the anime places itself above the wonderswan game, KM is a ultimate there as well, meaning that its a jogress due to the ult level again. so it depends on what level kimeramon is when h fuses/jogesses with machinedramon

machinedramon actually debuted as an ulitmate (perfect) in digimon world 1, then retained that level in digital card battle (though all megas are ultimate in that game including omnimon lol)


but still, this art book isnt the first place it was "confirmed". this was actually over a year ago when this interview first took place, before being put in the art book. before this though, it was already accepted this way inthe fandom and the DRB backed it up with the wording, like I said, with omnimon for example, vs paildramon
 
I did not say that this was first said in the Artbook, I just emphasized the need for the Jogress to be a unique term for Digimon at the same level, which until then I did not see be specified anywhere else (The need for a higher level result in relation to the original Digimon I already knew and I've written texts about it a long time ago).

And that's even worse when compared to the Japanese fanbase, I say this because influential people on the Japanese fanbase were arguing on Twitter about whether or not Millenniumon was a Jogress, as well as discussing the information in the artbook complaining that it is incoherent in relation to the original information regarding Jogress.

The books are aimed at the Japanese public, and the Japanese fanbase for some reason wants all the information to be clear and straightforward. We are talking about the fanbase that complains about Bandai writing in some materials the Okuwamon Romanization as Okuwamon and in others as Oukuwamon (The same goes for different romanizations of different Digimon), about the fact that a Armor Digimon is said to be "Armor Level" in some profiles while in others it is said to be "Adult Level", about the profile of a Digimon saying something, then a new profile of another Digimon contains a different context while the old profile is not updated (Like the profiles of Metal Seadramon, Mugendramon and other Digimon), etc.

The Japanese fanbase does not reach consensus, so the book specifies an additional fact about Jogress and Fusion, is something interesting. (Even if it is something repeated, after all many Japanese begin to search in old materials to know if the information has already been used in some place).

Although this often worsens the situation as people begin to use the text of the books to complain that the information in the book was not used somewhere within some page of some Digimon media.
 
Now I could post some translations of the Digital Monster Artbook. Here. The most part is already translated, but there's still some points.
 
The person who drew the Digimon Chronicle commented a bit about the manga.

As he was just doing something following the concept given by WiZ, he does not know details of the story beyond what we already know. Anyway, he reveals that he believes that the protagonists of the manga returned to the Real World after the adventure, and it is possible that they are the characters that were drawn in the advertising of the Digimon Twin.

He also says that when he drew on Omegamon X vs. Alphamon and Death X Mon vs. Alphamon in the Digimon Chronicle, he does not know who won because he was unaware of how strong they were in the toys, so the outcome of the fight and how it happened is one mystery.

He also states that nothing was specified about the Shinji, being a completely mysterious blank sheet (Because he don't appear in the manga). He believes that he is like an older brother figure of Yuuji (Ryudamon's partner) and wonders if it was Shinji who sent them both to the Digital World.

Translation of the "Digital Monster Card Game - Starter Ver. 6 Advent of the Three Great Angels" storyline. Talks about God/Yggdrasil (The true God of the Digital World, the System itself that exist beyond the Four Holy Beast that rules over the stability of the DW), creation of the Angel Digimon, Lucemon.

A virtual world created by network researchers, "Digital World". Pseudo life forms called "Digimon" live here. They evolved on their own, creating their own ecosystems and cultures, which led to their own "gods."

God of the Digital World (ÒâçÒé©ÒâóÒâ│õ©ûþòîÒü«ÒÇîþÑ×ÒÇì).

It is sometimes used as a synonym for the "Four Holy Beasts" (ÒÇîÕøøÞüûþìúÒÇì), which govern the stability of the Digital World, but theorizes that it is "An Existence Beyond the Four Holy Beast" (ÒÇîÕøøÞüûþìúõ╗Ñõ©èÒü«Õ¡ÿÕ£¿ÒÇì). Sometimes the research reports that it is something with a completely different origin from the Digimon and that the "God of the Digimon" (ÒâçÒé©ÒâóÒâ│Òü«þÑ×) is the "System" (ÒÇîÒéÀÒé╣ÒâåÒâáÒÇì) itself. To get this answer it is better wait until it is said about the Twelve-Winged Supreme Angel, the "child" (ÒÇîþö│ÒüùÕ¡ÉÒÇì) born from the "God of the Digimon"(ÒÇîÒâçÒé©ÒâóÒâ│Òü«þÑ×ÒÇì).
