No. Alan Moore wrote the "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" story, but it was supposed to be an "imaginary tale" outside of continuity, so we never saw what truly happened to Pre-Crisis Superman. Presumably he was simply recreated as the Post-Crisis Superman after the Crisis was done.
