Did Armstrong ever fight Raiden in Ripper Mode?

If I remember, throughout the boss fight with Armstrong, using the Ripper Mode to fight Armstrong is optional, and Raiden can still harm him as per normal with Sam's Muramasa.

This will not change anything, Armstrong is still 7-C due to him breaking Raiden's HF Blade that can survive the force of Raiden's Ripper Mode attacks. I just want to clear up some misconceptions.
