There are missing powers for a few characters in dmc so I'm going to list them off for each character


Mundus

Mind control (had Vergil under his control though out dmc 1)

Magma manipulation

Time manipulation (control the time in mallet island moved it differently flowers would die shortly after being planted in other places the flowers never died)

Astral projection

Can travel between the human and demon world

Dante

Invulnerability (only in majin form and dreadnought form)

Resurrection (via golden orbs only can carry 3)

Resistance to Time stop (via scaling from nelo Angelo)

Illusions/hostile telepathy (scaling from Vergil has Yamato in his arsenal)

Resistance to absolute zero ( I know this ability was taken away because the frosts were vulnerable to fire from ifrit but the fire from ifrit is hellfire in the dmc verse and not Normal fire)

Vergil

Should have the same abilities as his brother but not invulnerability


Nero

Should have the same powers as Dante and Vergil but not invulnerability


Sparda

Should have the same powers as his sons and grandson as his blood is the source of their power
 
You can't get powers and abilities by scaling to someone else, especially since Vergil is shown to be affected by time Manipulation, and only ever got that after getting enslaved by Mundus.

Resurrection may or may not be game mechanics.
 
The bangle of time has no effect on nelo Angelo and Vergil is him just under the control of mundus Dante and Vergil are stated to have the same powers and sparda is the source of their powers

Items seem to be accepted bayonetta has her items in her powers and abilities
 
No, Vergil clearly has gotten power from Mundus, it makes sense considering how he got stronger, and both him and Mundus have time resistance, so it makes sense.

Before that however, he is shown clearly affected by Quicksilver in DMC3
 
But that is never said nor hinted at in the game we know the older Dante gets the more powerful he becomes this should also be the same for Vergil as he got older as well
 
And yet despite this, Dante has never gained any new abilities that weren't from any new weapons.
 
let's look at what we know Dante and Vergil become more powerful as the years go on is it really a far cry that they also gain new abilities
 
Get stronger in terms of AP and speed he's, but getting hax that isn't randomly explained doesn't make sense.
 
yes it does when Vergil was weaker he wasn't able to resisted Dante's time manipulation now that he is stronger he is able to overcome it

but there are missing powers:

-Possesion and absortion for Argosax

-Regenerationn and the ability to breathe underwater for Lucia
 
Mundus:

Soul Manipulation (Nelo Angelo is Vergil's soul resting within that knight body; here and here)

Gravity Manipulation (Can lift and keep rocks floating around him; second part of the first battle)

Spatial Manipulation (Tore open a portal back to the human world with his bare hands)

And here is a curious scene of Mundus killing Griffon. He literally turned his general into nothing. Don't know if it means much, but ┬»\_(Òâä)_/┬»

I'm gonna make another comment later, because I would like to discuss about a few abilities with another member. It might result in something big.
 
For all i know, you can't scale skills with someone just because they are similar - Like the scaling for Vergil and Nero for instance - And Sparda don't have a good portion of power that Dante gained trough his journey

Dante's ressurrection is item-based, so i don't think it counts

There are some abilities that you counted that the character can have, but not for the sake of scaling - it has other reasonings (Like Dante's mind manipulation resistance can be put through him resisting to Nevan's)

And i didn't remember, why do people took Dante's Absolute Zero resistance away when the game literally tell us that Frosts has it? Just because they can be harmed from... you know... Fire... From friggin Hell?
 
Dante,Vergil and Nero all have the power of sparda such as resistances and the powers Dante has naturally not the powers he has from the devil arms so they won't have transmutation hellfire manipulation etc arkham said in the manga that sparda's power was divided equally between them and they had the same powers


From what I have seen from other character pages items are counted
 
They are from his lineage, but that doesn't mean they have all his powers

Sparda was said to be capable of take away all the demon's powers by taking their names, like a sealing for instance, and none of them showed this capability
 
Didn't Vergil give them back their names

There are statements from other characters that they have the same powers as sparda

"You have indeed inherited sparda's power"

"Yours are definitely the powers of sparda"
 
No, he took their seal away by being him of the same blood as Sparda (giving him the capabiliy of dismanteling a seal made by Sparda, something that other games explored already), they were the ones that choose their names
 
I feel like it's more then that he takes all of their power it sounds pretty similar to ichilbe hyosube from bleach

Because Sparda does not have the ability to seal? Sparda defeated Mundus, sealingi the underworld
 
What? I'm not saying sparda doesn't have sealing powers I'm saying his ability to take away names and their power sounds a lot more than just basic sealing
 
Given some relatively recent comments I've read from our more physics and mathematically-inclined members, I'm inclined to agree with putting Absolute Zero back on Dante's profile.

What is the text that the particle beam statement is coming from?

How do you even know that is do to Time Manipulation

Through Portals

Particle Beam =/= Manipulating Matter

No to Dante's Invulnerability, Resurrection is game mechanics. Why does Nelo Angelo have Resistance to Time Stop and why do you want to scale that to Dante? You need to demonstrate Resistances.

Also no to Resistance to Matter Manipulation

No to Illusions and Hostile Telepathy, pretty sure Yamato doesn't do that.

Killing someone who regenerates =/= Bypassing Regenerationn.

We have, but some people can't take no for an answer. We discussed it in a very long thread and it was agreed to be removed. There's as much evidence for Absolute Zero Dante as there is Absolute Zero DBS.

Mundus was effecting time in mallet island where some parts of the time moved faster and other parts slower

Mundus has been shown being able to send astral projection of himself most notably when he killed griffin

He can still travel between the human and demon world

The dreadnougt form is part of his royal guard style

Items are on other characters pages so I don't why it shouldn't be the same for Dante

We can't use obvious game mechanics in profiles or else we'd give auto-Phoenix Downs for Final Fantasy characters

They clearly have some differences in their powers.

This doesn't mean that Dante bypassed Regenerationn, it just means that he killed him.

His styles are listed in his abilities like his teleportation and attack reflection

Dante and Vergil do have the same powers they just use them differently because of their personality differences

When Dante shot sid the first sid just regenerated after hitting him with rebellion sid lost his Regenerationn
