When I say citation needed I am asking for a video of the feat being done.

Dante and Vergil clearly demonstrate different abilities, fighting styles and wield different weapons.

You could also argue that Abigail got hurt so much he couldn't regenerate, just like when Dante was beat up by Vergil he couldn't regenerate.

Absolute Zero can't be melted by volcanic temperatures.

Dante and Vergil are stated in the manga to the same powers both use them very differently

In their clash you can see Sid go from his Abigail form back to sid

Ifrit isn't stated to be volcanic in temperature it is said to be much hotter then a volcano

Give me minute I will give you links

"Ifrit isn't stated to be volcanic in temperature it is said to be much hotter then a volcano"

Unquantifiably hotter. Doesn't mean it's ******* Plank Temperature.

Ôåæ Devil May Cry, Enemy File — Frost: "Although impervious even to volcanic fire, the frosts are weak to higher realms of incendiary. Use the hellfire of Ifrit to counter them." It literally says they are impervious to volcanic fire and ifrit is the only thing that can hurt them

>higher realms of incendiary.

Meaning that anything significantly hotter than volcanic fire nullifies it. We've been through this already.

we don't know the limits to how hot ifrit can be in the dmc verse hellfire's abilities depends on the verse and the lore about it

>We don't know how hotter it is

>This means it's hot enough to melt Absolute Zero

It doesn't work like this. When the only thing we get is "He is more than X", we assume unquantifiably more.

We are not giving a limit of its heat but we do know it is the only fire that can hurt the frosts who are stated to be absolute zero

My god it's turning into this again.
It may be possible for someone to make a detailed list of what abilities are missing for each character and that otherts will debate if it is accepted

not right now of course but in due time

since some abilities are missingin the profiles

Ok fair enough lets go back to the other abilities

Yamato cutting though illusions in up on Vergil's page

Follow doctor freeman goes into detail of Dante and mundus abilities

That is something from Vergil, not Yamato itself. It is from using excessive demonic energy, as we see that Vergil was on the verge of transforming (and that Vergil is way better than Dante in controlling energy). We know excessive use of it can make you go out of harm's way, ranging from freezing and paralysis to mind attacks (like Nevan's)

Altough Nero didn't show anything like that, so it only counts for Vergil, Dante and Sparda

But, about absolute Zero... the game literally states they had it, so we don't put that to Dante simply because it is on our faces, but we don't put because it was not demonstrated ALL the effects that Absolute Zero has on the enverionment??

Like... i don't know if it is of your knowing, but it's pretty hard to determine it when all the enverionment is basically affected by the demon world, it's own laws and Mundus powers....

Ok what abilities are accepted so far

Also sparda can take away the names of demons which take away their power what ability does that fall under

Because we need more evidence than a simple statement of Absolute Zero for it to count because Absolute Zero has properties which go beyond just "Freaking cold".

The game does imply much more than simply oh, it's very cold, so we gonna tell it's the most cold possible - it's an explanation of the game about the demon that goes along with hints to defeat it, not some random words put there to sound cool - most people that play don't even know what Absolute Zero is

And saying that (practically explicitly) fire from hell is the only type that can harm it, should be more than enough

I'm sorry, Kyo, that still doesn't cut it. A mere statement of Absolute Zero won't do if it doesn't match or show the properties of Absolute Zero. This is how we do things here.

@Mat

Time idk it was stated in library but maybe screenshot?

Yeah its an avatar mundus often uses

Well Mundus did control vergil throughout DMC 1

Seems portal creation to me yes

Well the dreadnought allows him to be invulnarable to enemies but i digress

Honestly if we put gold orbs we need devil star and holy water plus health star which is game mechanics

They are simillar but not the same yes that's right we can't scale them cause Vergil is more refined in skill while Dante is more guns blazing you are right in this

In manga of DMC 3 Vergil was in an illusion but he got out by cutting through it via Yamato so Dante can resist via having it (will try to find it)

Well Abigail still needs the regen due to sid using that power and coming back from it but dante can't bypass it though

i got no idea on this

It just doens't sound right... At least 3 examples of the same situation are listed on the Absolute Zero page, as for the Megamans, Rukia (Bleach) and the Aquarius Boys (for CDZ)

Why this time doesn't cut?

(i don't really know the other ones well, so i'm not fit to tell about them)

The Regenerationn of Abigail is valid seeing that it regenerates from a pool of blod, I doubt very much that Dante omits the Regenerationn

It will most likely be similar to the case of Gohan vs Cell

Goku cannot pass through the Regenerationn of Cell, but Gohan uses only one powerful attack to damage the enemy to a scale where it can not regenerate

Not exactly @ the DB reference. Goku only attacked the upper half of Cell's body, he wasn't aware that he could generate from a single cluster of cells. And since he had half of a body left, his regen kicked in. :^)

I had forgotten that part

But even when Cell self-destruct it survives because part of its nucleus was saved, his intention was to destroy the planet (he had no intention of surviving)

My point is that the greater the Regenerationn the more problematic it is to eliminate the enemy so it is necessary a powerful attack or a good ability, in this case a strong attack to defeat to Abigail of a blow (I do not say that Dante omit or eliminates the Regenerationn, only that is stronger than the Regenerationn of Abigail)

PD: Excuse my bad grammar, english is not my native language

So, are you reaching any conclusions here, or should the thread be closed?

Ok here is the evidence for mundus's time manipulation

Often I feel that the time passes awkwardly around here. In some places the flowers never die. In other places, they wither ever so quickly. I cannot stay here very long, for I know that my sanity will leave me."

Let's list off the accepted abilities so we are all on the same page

Ok lets see here well this is what i think should be accepted feel free to correct me

Mundus: Portal creation (Made a portal to cross the worlds), Time manipulation or dislocation in time (is how i view it considering parts of the island have different times),Magma manipulation i suspect (the fight had them in a place full of lava as he made lava dragons), and mind control (controlled vergil as nelo angelo)

Dante: Precog (though he has it tbf...), Invulnerability (his dreadnought is mostly based on enemies not able to harm him idk i'm on the fence with this tbh), and resistent to illusions and can break them (via yamato)

Abigail: Low high regen (did come back from a pool of blood)

Things i don't think we should add:

Resistent to time manipulation for Dante is iffy as they are NOT the same person while it did come from sparda come from =/= is useable, ressurection is game mechanics otherwise dante can refill devil trigger and healing himself for mundus he just came back after being beaten up, matter manipulation (i see them as projectiles), Ignore low high (Dante overpowered sid abigail nothing more, resistent to absolute zero (this is something well files contradict itself somewhat), resistent to mind control for abigail (it can mean a lot of things as Abigail is hella powerful so i doubt alan could control him to begin with)

Just my 2 cents

Alan could mind control demons Abigail was the only one he couldn't control

He should also have size manipulation as he did come back as a giant version of Sid after regenerating low high regen should warrant type 3 immorality to his page

Sid couldn't regenerate after Dante slashed him with rebellion

The others I see your point but I have noticed that bayonetta has her items listed in her powers and abilities so that's the reason I brought it up

Also sparda could take away demons names and when he took their names he also took their power what ability would that fall under

i must have missed it idk

Hmm seems so type 3 should be put

No if he did in that moment of the clash sid would have died but instead reverted back to normal

Bayonetta doesn't have healing items and such from what i understand in her page just amps i think

or maybe it reacts to devil powers instead cause he didn't react to sneak attacks as far as ik

u mean she could use that in battle? (if it appears in cutscenes like that then that would be the case but if not then dante should get the healing star i think considering the cases are simillar)

Yes, and she's used lollipops before, there are multiple cutscenes where she's eating one of her lollipops, there's even a hidden mechanic where if you press the button that corresponds to the color of the lollipop in the cutscene, you start the gameplay with the effects of that lollipop at the beginning of the level
