Under items for Dante (presumably rest of the cast too), the Gold and Yellow orb aren't separate despite having differences in their application.

I borrowed your translation of the Yellow orb from DMC 1, the description indicates that the orb has uses time manipulation possibly as temporal healing/resurrection, supporting this is when Dante dies and uses the yellow orb he returns to the last room he was before he died (rewinding time).
