Usually, if the writer or mangaka is good enough at explaining things, they will create moments in their stories where character A is superior in skill compared to everyone else and keep that same theme running throughout the series they are writing, like Gojo and Sukuna from JJK, for example.

GOW lately gets removals after removals and apparently tier 2 may be removed too in the future

DMC also gets removals for hax as well, a matter of time when other big verses could get hit with these too
 
So far its been all about nerfing GoW haxes, which do seem they have used weak justifications.

I guess predictable finale is the actual Tier downgrade, but Kratos is actually Low 1-C atm so who knows where he will fall and how much.

Tbh I dunno if Fujiwara wants to downgrade other verses, DMC & GoW are the big ones atm.

listen I ain't wanna say names but, in my humble personal opinion, a certain blue (sometimes yellow) rodent should be on the chopping block

also Mario will no longer be the only big Nintendo verse getting hefty nerfs, tier 4 Metroid has already been scattered to the winds and it looks like the remaining tier 5 ratings will follow suit (Along with hax changes, Dark Samus has lost her mid-godly regen and passive soul hax for example). But Kirby and Zelda staying on top baybee.

I recall one of the many ability removal threads for GOW it was mentioned cosmic level for the verse seemed fine (Albeit in the tier 3 to 2 range instead of tier 1) but that was a few months ago so I dunno
 
tiki said a bit after they went off because of rooster teeth that if they came back they would need to choose episodes that would be guaranteed to do well because they wouldn't be able to rely on a network anymore
