Yeah I know that, my point is that in the stupid state that the world is currently stupid people will preserve something like that as potentially offensive and censor stuff because of that.
The goal is to continue to make the series more marketable, they never expected the backlash.

Something that bothered me a little bit is that Spawn was less versatile than Doomslayer in the animation.

Three Houses was big, Dimitri was a frequently requested MU. Sure, maybe they should've stricken when the iron was hot, but that's the benefit of hindsight.
