I should probably try hyping up my submission, but admittedly I'm not very good at that sort of thing. And my submission is already at a disadvantage because apparently they said it'll likely never happen...

Looking at Marvel vs DC specifically, unless you go for repeated themes, I feel like most unique themes have been done now. There is still unfortunately tens of characters for both for other MUs, but maybe they can slow it down a bit.

The biggest unique thing is Swamp-Thing vs Man-Thing. Then its maybe Bullseye vs Deadshot for gun-slinging street MU, Batman villain vs Spidey villain that isnt VenomBane, wacky MU like Ego vs Mogo as planets, Ultron vs Brainiac for robuts & Shuma vs Starro for weird cosmic beings. Oh and Avengers vs JL for the big team thing and last Marvel vs DC fight.

Any other Marvel vs DC MUs that dont use old already used themes?

Plastic Man vs Mr Fantastic
Moon Knight vs Azrael
Maybe Sandman vs Clayface? Gaara vs Toph was a long time ago. There again, both Gaara and Toph have decently requested runback options.

Are there any worthwhile matchups for Hawkman?

Under the logic of Rilo-san, Hunter X Hunter and ToAru series should be called Flopper X Flopper and ToFlop series.
