This is like... the most nothing match I have ever seen. I've never, in my whole life, seen anybody suggest this. They couldn't have pulled out a Dragon Ball matchup to entice people, like Moro vs Tirek, or... Moro vs Tirek?

I dunno if they'll ever do a shonen anime vs MLP MU, I highly doubt the public would like one of their strongest characters losing to a pony. They get their frail ego hurt for lesser things so this would just hurt their ego more.
Also, unironically, while that MU has more connections, it would be less popular than Aang vs The Traveler.

Since they advertise that goal with "First Genshin Impact MU", its possible they could use other popular, not yet used verse, but also not necessarily popular MUs.

I kinda wonder how popular Minecraft vs Terraria would be? Minecraft is always constantly popular, though it has faded a bit in popularity. Pretty sure there are no popular streamers like Dream anymore.
Terraria meanwhile sits in the 300k ranges in terms of views, they only get a million or more when there's a hit video or when there's a new update. I feel like Death Battle could get a million views more if they release a Death Battle episode in the same week as a new Terraria update.

Steve vs Terrarian was mentioned earlier and the talk of wanted matchups got me thinking; Since Bower vs Eggmann is being done soon, Steve vs Emmet might be my 2nd most wanted rn only behind Thomas vs Lightning the best matchup of all time. It doesn’t have the same legacy as Steve vs Terrarian but imo it has better animation potential and their abilities work off each other a bit better. I feel like the fight could have a similar friendly competitive vibe to All Might vs Might Guy where they both keep trying to one-up the other with their what they can make while Emmet gushes over Steve's builds. I also really love the idea that after the death the survivor makes a statue to honor them which would be insanely cute. Emmet is also pretty unresearched so learning about his stuff would be interesting. The biggest problem with the matchup is that it probably won't do insanely well unless it's released around a Minecraft update or something big Lego-related coming out.
