Darkrai takes on a Doctor

In-character, Darkrai would be more willing to put Strange to sleep, which he doesn't resist. How can he deal with that?
 
Darkrai makes a hand movement, you then get put to sleep and sent to another world of 'total darkness'.

Also Darkrai resists sleep manip
 
It's BFR and sleep manip, I don't know where you're getting mind manipulation from.

I don't see resistance to BFR on Strange's profile
 
IIRC Darkrai's sleep inducement comes from moves like Hypnosis which is a psychic attack. Isn't that mind manipulation?
 
Hypnosis is mind manipulation, dark void isn't. Dark void is Darkrai's signature and most consistent lead.
 
...which they can't use because they'd be asleep. Stop cherrypicking. The main thing is that Strange would be asleep, the BFR is an extra
 
The only mind-based thing is Darkrai's passive ability, bad dreams, which attacks strange on a mental level once he's asleep
 
The lake trio, who all have astral projection, would have been affected by Darkrai's eternal nightmare in PMD. Either way, using Strange's astral form leaves his body susceptible to damage, and he'll be quite quickly destroyed due to bad dreams
 
But Darkrai's sleep manip isn't through mind manip, its his passive ability that comes after that affects the mind. Not that it matters cause Darkrai negates resistances to his dark attacks, which dark void is
 
It's not explicitly stated what levels it affects, at least afaik. But it is very different from sleep manips that do target the mind.
 
All dark types resist soul manipulation. Darkrai is the strongest dark type by our wiki's standards, unless you count Arceus.

You never mentioned sealing or power null before, but it doesn't matter how many ways Strange can win. What matters is this:

What does Strange lead with in-character?

If he does have a strong, effective lead, does he have a way around Dark Void?
 
Can't find that on it profile.

And Strange doesn't have Resistance to Darkness Manipulation so Darkraid doesn't need negate said resistance.
 
Against an eldritch abomination he uses his hax from the start

Against a humanoid, he uses little of it, however (unless he thinks they're a dark wizard or something)
 
That's a bit vague. Which hax specifically is he most likely to start with?
