Both of them counter a lot of each other's hax:

• Both have Tier 1 mindhax/resistance, so that's a nonfactor (Doom via scaling above Scarlet Witch in mindhax and in resisteance scaling above Emma Frost, and Strange via scaling to a Dark Dimension-amped Umar).
• Strange has time-hax, but so does Doom
• Both resist each other's possession
• BFR is useless as both can travel to other dimensions without much issue and both can time travel and resist time-stop.
• Transmutation is resisted by both of them
• Doom does have deconstruction with his magic, but Strange's regeneration is Low-Godly, so that won't do much to him.

Strange has incredible Illusion Creation (a power which has shown to briefly catch Doom off-guard in the past) and could likely null Doom's magic, although Doom could easily absorb his power if given the chance.
