Rereading the comics, almost all of Spectre's fights with 5D imps come with small asterisks attached. I'll list them as follows.
1. Emperor Joker. The Emperor Joker event happens in 2000, before Hal had fully mastered the Spectre's powers and was struggling with his idenity as the Spectre, as stated in his solo series and in later events, such as Legends of the DC Universe and JLA: Soul War.

2. Crisis times Five. Spectre had been recently released from Jim Corrigan and is weaker without a host. In addition, the comic makes it clear the only reason he was trapped was because for some reason he didn't want to destroy the civilization living on it. 3: Crisis on Infinite Earths: It was later revealed in Martian Manhunter 23 that Spectre was weakened at that time long before he was amped by the magic users of Earth: https://i.imgur.com/I7FeUrw.jpg. For context this is the event they're referring to: https://i.imgur.com/UNNmG0x.jpg .This event happened in More Fun Comics 75 (1942), and while MMH 23 was published in 2000, the events of it take place in 1992, shortly before the events of The Spectre vol 3.
