Can you calc wormholes for energy?

Merry Christmas,
In this article, it says that hypothetically, you would need negative energy to keep a wormhole open equivalent to 10 billion suns for a year for the size one millionth of a proton But i don’t know if this is valid to use. Is there another way or is all that hypothetical and remains as hax.

and if possible, could you give a detailed reason as to why?

Usually No, for the same reason Mass-Energy usually isn't used for calcs- writers basically never think about the obscene amounts of energy required for making shortcuts in space-time.

The intent is "This character can make cool portals", not- "This character has several thousand galaxies worth of power in order to create the immense negative pressures required to keep open a space hole several trillion times larger than a single atom."

Okay, thanks, and if by any chance say that there are statements in lore/story that the portals created do possess Energy, or even infinite energy, would that be applicable or still just hax for the sake of scaling?

Depends on context- like whether or not it's consistent with the showings in story. It's a case by case thing.

Another reason is that that is purely theoretical, The numbers there could be off by dozens of orders of magnitude to open a wormhole.

Thanks. I feel that way is too outlier as talking with someone who tries to scale their someone to it Via portal creation without lore about it having energy
