So Escanor has an ~2× AP advantage but Yami has Dimension Slash so it's not a stomp

The win con for Yami is Dimension Slash. He can only use it if the opponent is immobile so it can only touch Escanor under these conditions:

1. Yami absorbs Cruel Sun which stunts Escanor for a moment, then Dimension Slash gg

2. Escanor underestimates Yami and gets split in half (not sure about this one)

I mean, except the AP advantage, Escanor has no other ways to put Yami down while Yami has Mana Skin to enhance his durability and heat resistance, ki sensing, Mana Zone and even a Dimension Slash Mana Zone in last resort.

Also would Yami really absorb Cruel Sun? It's extremely huge amount of energy and it would melt everything around. He can't really absorb it whole.

While Escanor should actually have passive heat manipulation, as stated against Estarossa, Yami should also have passive forcefield creation via his own aura, and Mana Skin, so that's renders it useless. Yami can likely take out Escanor before he gets too strong via Precog, and Dimension Slash.
