Breaking-Bad-Where-Are-They-Now.jpg

A brand new and revamped discussion thread for anything Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul! In my opinion there are many things that should be discussed (Profile creation, discussion, as well as just talking about the shows) so why not create a place to talk about those topics here. Hopefully this up to Pollos Standards 😅

One of my favorite shows, nice. Not really interested in its powerscaling though, with Walt being 10-A for an untrained cancer patient.

I get liking the shows > powerscaling as I like the shows far more and I think both are masterfully crafted.

I am interested in making profiles for characters for characters not yet to seemingly have one as well as make some team profiles for them. Characters including Todd, Jack, etc

How the hell does Walter survive an explosion that happens inches away from him? And unscathed too.

Because despite the fact that Walt is in perceivable danger, HE IS THE DANGER Wall level durability, Immortality Type 8 and Conceptual Manipulation via manipulating the concept of danger danger confirmed

Guessing inverse square law, even being like 10 inches from an explosion reduces how much of it you take drastically
Very true, it drastically reduces the amount of it you take from the explosion. Not saying it’s completely realistic that Walt’s only injury was a slightly bloody nose after leaving the building but I agree it adds some sense to it.

Also is there any reason why Gus and the Cousins don’t have bulletproof listed as equipment? I know the Cousins have a durability feat listed on their profile that they tank bullets with the vest, but don’t have the vest listed as optional equipment.

I believe Saul also mentioned having a bulletproof suit at one point and Hank obviously needs it listed as optional equipment. There might be more examples of this with others like Mike or Jack but these are the main examples of the vests that I remember being used.

How doesn’t Walter have Street lvl dura from tanking a punch from Mike?
Walter was still essentially one-shotted my Mike, being completely on the floor and barely able to move afterwards, and it left a bad bruise on him. Walter did pretty much the exact opposite of tanking the strike

What about the mercury explosion? Or the metal towel dispenser?

There are a lot of outliers in this show I’m guessing.

yes, such as jesse being fine after falling two stories headfirst onto concrete, and taking a full-on beating from tuco in season 2 (which includes jesse getting thrown through a door so hard it breaks), walter smashing jesse through his shelf, and being completely fine after various car crashes including ones which hospitalize hank, saul easily smashing through windows.

even though the calculated value for the fulminated mercury explosion probably cannot be applied to walter’s durability, it was still shown to be enough to knock tuco to the ground while walter was closer to the explosion and relatively unharmed.

walter nearly got up after mike punched him, mike kicked him in the stomach while he was down

I personally do agree with 9-C Breaking Bad, but I don't think Walter scales to characters like Mike & Tuco, who can pretty easily throw the 2 around and sevearly injure both of them easily

as i mentioned above, walter and jesse both have showings which would allow them to downscale from tuco. only time he really ****** one of them up was when he bludgeoned jesse with the cash bag, which tuco doesnt technically physically scale to since he attacked jesse with an object
