BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle discussion

I vehemently disagree with the DLC practice, at least it being with this amount of character. While they did say that game will be cheaper at launch and the game with full DLC won't cost more then 60, but literally having only 20 charaters while the other 20 are DLC? It's just....not a good practice and definitely bad PR. This to a lot of people was a dealbreaker, me almost included. I'm still gonna get the game eventually by the sheer concept alone (BlazBlue is one of my all time favorite franchises) but not at launch until they themselves rectify this at least somewhat.

Arc System Works did post that they know about the feedback and are going to say something about it very soon, but what or when it is, we don't know.

They said that this game is aimed at U.S. audiences, which Blazblue never had the best track of selling in. They wanted people to at least try the game, which is why they made the base game 40 bucks and the DLC 20 dollars for a total price of 60 dollars. They wanted to get more people to buy the base game, obviously, that idea backfired.

I personally dont have an issue with the whole dlc thing. I was thinking of the game is $60 or £45 for me, as a student I probably wil be unable to get it until much later. With the price reduced to like £27 without the DLC I might actually be able to get it now. But I can understand why ppl have issues with it especially considering last year with EA and Bungie and Capcom with some other companies.

Ok this thread been dead.

New info about the game

- Each char has 3 assists

- You can cancel the assist for switching

- Game is based on stylish mode

- First dlc pack is Platinium, Kanji, and Orie who are free during the first 2 weeks

- Story mode is a visual novel ish thing, no cinematics or anything like that

- This game might become a franchise.

- Yang's sprite is revealed

- English dub is returning (even for ones who never had one in the first place).

-Platinum making it into the game disappoints me, especially since Hakumen isn't in the game yet. Kanji and Orie are really cool, though.

-Gordeau has Grim Reaper as an assist. He'll probably be the Dr. Doom of the game.

-I think Yang's sprite is still unfinished as the one we see looks kinda preliminary. Looks good so far, though.

-Stylish mode will take some time to get used to, at least to me. It's done for casual appeal. Not sure if I entirely like this but I hope it will be easy to get used to.

-English dub coming back is an absolute yes. Some of the BlazBlue cast and Amanda Lee who does Yukiko confirmed their return (Doug Erholtz please confirm yourself as Hazama and I'll be at ease). I wonder how Under-Night will fare in terms of voice actors.

Its not only Under Night, some Blazblue chars like Es. never had an english dub either. Yeah stylish mode is weird, but it wont be exactly like that, but they said took some mechanics from it, whatever that means.

Curious: Depending on how the story mode goes, will the feats the characters make there (if any) be featured here?

I'm maining Hazama and Gordeau. Both of them are my mains in their respective games (well, Terumi is my main but Hazama comes close).

Depends on the final roster. I play Celica in Blazblue, so if shes in I'll play her. Can't decide on a team yet.

@Garg I'll give her a try of course.

@Sparda and if Hakumen is in... R u doing a Hakumen/Jin team? ovo

Mai is highly likely in, she matches silhouette. They still have not added Hakumen so Susanoo is unlikey.

Can you show me the picture, also if Susano'o is unlikely then i will run's Azrael for now,he's beast in CF but i take too much attention to Yuki/Susano'o,Mai,Nine,Mu,Es,Hazama,Kokonoe,Bullet,and Izayoi XD (the character i said is my main).

theres a lot of people who want that.

Btw do you have a discord Velox? The BBTAG discord has up to date info with BB and a lot of good info about mechanics and stuff.

ye thats cool.

Do you know whos in the game so far? If you like Persona u might be surprised with one of the char that got in.

Prepare to re-learn the chars you already know because the buttons are different. Nothing like Blazblue's or Persona (well auto system is the same).

Top tiers are already spotted.

Ruby and Gord seems to be very good in early pre-release tournaments and just casual matches.
